what is purpose of being in guild if every time you ask somebody to come and do some mythic or pvp run with them they just ganna say do it with pugs cause they don’t get any upgrade from 10+ or 1500 rating is low.
Sounds like a performance oriented guild.
I have a mythic raider in my guild who still joins people on their Mythic 0 runs because its fun.
Granted the guild is based on a group of real life friends, but still, they exist out there even without the real life context.
Then you’re in a guild that isn’t right for you.
Instead of being in a raid / progression guild look for a social guild. I find social guilds are easier to merge into and find casual runs. A lot of progression guilds have their inner circle of friends and everyone else is just irrelevant.
Agree, guild cliques are quite common, even in more casual guilds.
i mean i been in those guilds a lot but i got tried of doing low keys or normal raids with them all time.
well its sound like it when they needed 10 keys i was all time with them and now 11 or 12 keys are not for me so they are running those keys with somebody else in guild .
Join a better guild.
Some guilds only gather for raids, power to them, some don’t gather at all, some do a lot of stuff together all the time.
As many said, find another guild. Ours have 10+ M+ runs daily with many different groups. Most people joining us, stay for years and years and are still there.
Some guilds don’t make effort in making groups. Some do. Some guilds don’t allow for low-geared people, and some do.
It may take time finding the right guild for you, but once you find it. You’ll stay in it for years. There are people in my guild who’s been in it for 10-15 years, and don’t have it easier than others getting groups…
Change guild?
You’re in the wrong guild.
Often the bigger they are, the less supportive players it will have.
That’s the irony of large guilds, raiding or social. They can be more anti-social and less helpful than their smaller siblings.
Depends entirely on the guild. My guild is bigger than ever, daily 20-30 people online at the same time, and it’s also more chatty than ever.
I think it depends a lot more on the guild identity on its size. Cuz I’ve been in plenty small and big guilds myself on my alts, and it’s not the size that determine the social aspect of the guild.
If a Guildmaster is founding a guild and not making an environment that encourage helping and chatting - then it won’t happen no matter the size.
True there are other factors.
I was thinking more along the lines of these general recruiting guilds with hundreds+ of members who are constantly spamming for more people for their social/raiding/mix of both.
They hoover up loose players and there’s never any cohesion. As no one really knows each other or cares.
A lot of progression guilds have their inner circle of friends and everyone else is just irrelevant.
Just left a guild like that after healing them last season in nya to 7/12 HC. I felt like a cash cow. They had already set up their raid team for castle prior to it even opening. Nobody else. Your gear did not matter. Your previous standing or role did not matter.
I took a break in the later part of 8.3. Came back and gm left. Tons of new people. An old officer took it over and the new officers were just phallic devices and accused me of saying crap i did not say.
I left Disciples on Anachronos and found a nice medium size guild now.
Disciples is just such a guild. Inside circle only and anybody out of it is just a cash cow for the guild bank and to be used and abused, if you take it.
I wonder if they still have my old guild name on this toon now.
EDIT…yes they still have my old guild name on there even though i left over a month ago. Dont join them.
Just because you are in a guild, it does not automatically adjsut the guild towards every person within it, especially if you are considered “lesser geared” (Even though I am pretty sure you are hyperbolizing).
You are not entitled to anyone’s time or nerves, OP. Find people that on your level and share similar goals.
