What is "Ray of hope cheese" about?

Something with Mind control afaik?

In short, you MC someone and press Ray. That removes the mc but they keep the ray effect. You use all the damage you have and hope enemy forgets to heal. Then, the person gets oneshot once Ray effect finishes.

Seems legit, my rogue teammate was hit by 85k ray of hope through that ;p

Funny thing is, last night was the first time I’ve seen a priest use it in a random BG as well. Guess they must’ve read the thread.

And I mean that mc+ray of hope thing, not a ray of hope from a holy priest on the same team.

Report them and hopefully they get permabanned

Some high rated pvper (I think cdew?) made a video about it. More likely that this is the reason people learnt about it.

What if it’s not a bug but a feature?

Pretty much a feature. Apparently casting something instant on the MCd target as MCing Priest ends up in the same spellbatch as the MC-cancel and goes through.

Feels similar to the sap-GPY-sap trick.

That title made me chuckle. ROH literally provides no offensive benefit. In fact it provides a defensive benefit. People just need to pay attention

I see absolutely nothing that would indicate this is a bug. Again, it does not provide any benefit besides hiding information fr both parties. Healing gets buffed by 50% so if you pay attention you are at an advantage

This isn’t a bug, it’s just a smart usage of game mechanics, just track it and announce your healer you are going to get nuked now

Very weird, I read that thread and I am gearing my priest and wanted to play either disc or holy, time to join a dark side :exploding_head:

It’s same thing as bopping mc pala to get forbearance and setup on him.

ye, it was used in AWC at least once

tbh since they seem to be unable to fix the current MC bug they should just remove that spell and give us something in return. this spell has always been some kind of bug sh*tshow anyway.
