Next expansion is set in that neck of the woods (probably a revamp incoming for those zones and Silvermoon City).
So bringing them in as an Allied race is not beyond the bounds of reasonable story telling (it wouldn’t be forced in for no reason).
Azuremyst / Bloodmyst will likely get a similar revamp. Allied race possibilities there are fewer…

Sure, perhaps they get a settlement in Bloodmyst (near Exodar but still their own place).
Personally I’d like to see Exodar up in the air with a teleport (a bit like Vindacar in Legion).
Why though? They’re just buff trolls. Same ol’ same ol’.
But they could have a change of heart. Join the horde. I’d be fine with that.
It’ll have to wait until ‘Midnight’ though. Right now it wouldn’t make much sense to include them.
They made unique new models for Earthen, Dracthyr, Vulpera and others so forest trolls are next on the barber shop table.

Not my thing personally. I’ve never liked the troll aesthetic.
But I’m sure there’s players who will be happy if they were to become playable.
If I’m totally honest: I would greatly prefer much more customization for the existing races than yet more races.

Forest trolls are almost as tall as Drakkari but slightly smaller than Dark Trolls. Who are wiped out by now.
there are many potential Horde races we don’t have yet sadly.
- forest trolls
- ogres
- Sethrak
- Hozen
and others.

It is highley likley we will meet some new leader in Midnight and I pray to all the warcraft gods we are not forced to kill that person this time and give the trolls some well earned redemption.
How about they start off antagonistic because they are probably still not happy about anything that happened since the coming of the elves. Void and sunwell make love and they may cause the entire area to explode. (Because of unstability)and then we have to begrudgingly team up with the amani and it may lead to stronger bonds.
first we kill some high elves as payoff for their betrayal with the alliance.

I may have worked with the amani in the past but i will gladly turn my back on them to route out high elves and void elves
By having them turn into void trolls for us to kill of course. Then we can wipe them out and have the Void Elves set up camp in Zul’aman, safely away from the Sunwell.
