I can fly in all expansion and shadowlands without ever have done the prerequisites for flying but I can’t fly in BFA. What is the logic behind this? Why they don’t give flying in BFA content but they gave on shadowlands lol
You did prerequisites for shadowlands by reaching specified renown level.
Just wait few weeks and u should be able to fly in bfa as well.
It actualy makes sense and there is logic behind it …
I’ve left shadowlands during the first 2 months of release and never played again.
Sure you can!
If you done the prerequisites for Shadowlands flying
Same with Zereth Mortis
But you are right, having the Pathfinder was better, at least it gave you the sense you actually earned that flying… in Shadowlands and ZM it is a bit hard to notice, but you indeed had to do prerequisites
That doesn’t change the fact you did prerequisite to fly in shadowlands, if you can fly there, which you specified you can.
I have good taste in expansions.
I can fly in neither of those.
Draenor flying was brutal tho’
BfA flying was easy compared to that (and I loved the turtles)
The reason was BFA was the new starter experience.
They didn’t want flying to be available from the beginning.
Maybe flying will be unlocked once BFA goes legacy or maybe they’ll just skip shadowlands and let BFA stay the starter experience.
Nope you can now choose any legacy expansion to level from 1 -60.
What’s the logic behind of my mount forgetting how to fly when in Zandalar, in the very same Azeroth where Kalimdor and Northrend and the broken shores are?
There is logic behind what OPs “issue” is and not behind whatever you are asking
Also this is a video game, they literaly can make any reason as valid.
Its a new zone, your mount is scared , here you go
it made sense in Northrend when you could say well the mounts weren’t ready for the cold weather (it was even called cold weather flying)
the only logic behind it is timegating flying as it is current and there is 0 sense behind people still needing to do it the moment the expac stops being current content.
And I say that as someone who did all the flying prerequisites when it was current content.
I prefered the “old days” where you just paid for flying…
it’s more safe in the sky. Shouldn’t it be more scared on the ground filled with mobs?
I’m pretty sure they changed that woth the pre patch. You can now fly in BfA right away.
You still need to unlock flying in SL zones (reknown 44 on one char) and Zereth Mortis (a bunch of not so hard requirements) though, iirc.
But, off topic, BfA zones really look amazing from the air… SL, not so much tbh.
It’s called paying a bribe to the flight authority in Azeroth
You had to prove yourself to the Loa. They prevented them to fly? Pa’ku, the Loa of Winds especially would been able to prevent you
Same with Kul Tiras, the winds of the Sea… untill you proved yourself, the Tide Sages not bless you
Fel and chaotic energies disturbed them, your mounts had to adapt…?
I like the theory.
Carry on:
Shadowlands?
oh oh… Mechagon?
Pandaria?
Naaah sky is dangerous . Not as much as deep seas but more than ground .
Also, apart from the scary thing there , most of mounts suffer from jet lag when going from one expansion to another , and they usualy needs like 2-3 major patches to recover and get used to new time zone. Ofc then they can fly in old zones as they spend many years there .
