What is the lunar cycle of Azeroth?

I know that Azeroth has two moons. I know the two moons can both pop up in the same night sky, based on screenshots floating around the internet.

What I’m wondering is, would anyone happen to know/have a way to figure out the in-game lunar cycle besides cataloging a full month’s worth of night skies to figure it out?

They just put stuff up in the sky to make it pretty, not so people can do astronomy.

Yes, but I figure there must be some internal mechanism to figure out when to put both, one or neither moon in the sky. :v

/roll maybe!

I’d hoped since the sun does actually move across the sky and set, that maybe there’s some actual mechanics going on. We’ll see!

interesting question and doesn’t deserve the negativity it got. sometimes back in tbc/wotlk (and i presume vanilla too) it was sometimes just great to stand still in the wetlands or where ever and just look up at the moon and stars.

cant do that now cause of all the grinding you need to keep on top of :expressionless:

i would probably guess there is a cycle for the moons, but what that is i dont know. like you said, the sun has a cycle.
