nr one reason why you play, if you can answer in form of content, and also saying that your friends play is not a valid reason.
examples:
world quests,m+,raiding, mounts, pets, transmogs, or what ever the reason you play.
answer with 1 type of content.

How is it not a valid reason? This is an MMORPG, it’s a social game. Of course the social part is a huge chunk of it.
I play it mostly because of friends, and the people I play with. I do enjoy raiding and m+ with them, especially improving and getting better as I go. The learning curve is the fun part.

because thats not on blizzard but your friends. i would not say blizzard made a good game because you have cool ppl to play with.

if i have to give one answer or reason then its most definitely m+.
when i have a guild i ll raid with my guild. however, i d gladly give up raiding for m+ if i had to.
if i had to rank it after importance:
- m+
- raiding
- nothing
- nothing
- transmog/mounts
- achievements
the last two keep me going in content droughts or at the end of expansions when nothing else is going on really.

did not play it for the content so i guess i can’t answer.
It’s a game meant to be played with friends. That’s what makes it fun.
yes good for you, but thats not what i want to know, nor the thing i asked for, i want to know what kind of content ppl like, not if u enjoy playing with your friends =).

Raids and M+ but if they keep add more taxes and put more burden on me then I’d leave.
Why can’t they make optionnal content ???
sunk cost fallacy, addiction and hopium +its free since i pay sub with gold
Raiding with my guild. If i’d have to pug I would rather stop playing.

I’ve got a couple of friends I Like to play with, but since that’s not a reason…
The world and the story, the experience of being part of a fantasy story and actively participating to it and not just watch it passively. Yea the story isn’t the best, but if you think about it, it’s kind of a unique experience. No story has lasted so long to become, in a manner of speaking, a REAL world. I’m very interested in this, it’s kind of participating in an experiment.
Transmoggs.
Basically everything associated with their acquisition like: quests, World quests, Dungeons, LFR, old Raids crafting and AH.
That’s why I play all 12 classes atm.
Cheers.

I basically just do my dailies and weeklies to keep up and raid with my guild. My guild is the one big reason I still play.
Before, I also liked to see where the story was going, but nowadays I just became numb to it because of how bad the writing became.

encounters. I like puzzles and enjoy figuring out how to maximize the usefulness of my spec for each fight.
once that’s done I don’t enjoy repeating that content, nor do I care about rewards or (in case of group content) whether we actually get the kill or not.
