What is the point of having a mission table in BfA?

to gather Augment runes.
To collect pet charms.

I can hope. Sadly, I think it’s too profitable for them to pass up. People seem to forget how little gold Legion Facebook rewarded in the early patches. Sadly, I expect the gold to ramp up from 8.2. :frowning:

Well, apparently it’s easy to find…

And as we all now know, they only remove things that are not easy to find, apparently…

If you want it removed, simply tell them you can’t find it…

people got pee’d off with having to use the tables so much in previous expansions that blizzard responded to the plethora of complaints and pretty much removed it apart from small stuff like the new fp and such. Nothing major in them and as previous people have said, its easy enough to ignore without having to gimp your game … which is precisely what was asked for.
If you could accompany your team mates on their missions and make them harder to do, and the rewards commensurate with that, then they would have replaced IE … which are afk and bot-tastic and a stupid idea from the start.

I just use it when i’m not online in the game, i use the app for it. Have to spend those war resources on something :slight_smile:

I think you guys misunderstood what I said. If you don’t do world quests you won’t be able to send missions because you quickly deplete your resources.

What you can get from table:

  • Pet charms - these are hard to come by so yeah if you want pet charms missions are for you
  • Gold - instead of going to WQ to get enough resources to send gold mission (even the one from weekly islands) it is far faster to just fish/mine/herb.
  • AP - instead of going to WQ to get enough resources to send AP mission, learn how to complete islands faster (get good group, use doubloons, nuke the mobs)
  • Reputation - this one is funny because the chests gives you MORE resources and gold - the only reason to do them is because of service medals.

mission table would be fine if:

  1. There would be more rewards on it (service medals, titan residuum, transmogs, 370 upgrade tokens - like catchup mechanism for alts/new players, pets)
  2. World quest would give enough resources to send 4 missions OR emissaries would be enough to send 20 missions.

Since people didnt like rewards i am guessing the 2nd option is only viable.

So i don’t have to waste my time on doing world quests for rewards i could get faster from other sources.

Which isn’t true in 8.1 anymore.

Just by doing my daily emissaries and assaults and nothing else each day, I’m sitting at 8K while also buying my 2 reroll coins exclusively with war resources since the patch.

Assaults and weekly IE cap result in so much Honorbound reputation that you get a paragon cache every few days. That results in more war resources than someone can deplete.

This! I dont target wq with resources as a reward but i still get them from emissary, paragon etc. And i dont waste any time online on missiontable, i play with that from the app when i’m at work :stuck_out_tongue:

I occasionally curl up on the mission table for a quick nap.
It really is quite comfortable. :sleeping_bed:t4:

150-250± titan residuum is sweet. Other rewards are kinda joke.

Doing Emissaries, WF WQs, and an AP clear daily generally means I have enough resources. Plus Assaults if they are up while I am on. I’ve not struggled for resources on my main. I tend to clear my missions. I have my own system for what gets prio.

I get more rep from missions than world quests. That’s my reason. 75 rep per WQ is a joke.

And I don’t that is the point. I don’t enjoy world quests so I don’t do emissaries unless it is a azerite piece. This way I don’t have enough resources.

This is true for anyone that just doesn’t wanna do repetitive boring crap for even worse rewards.

EVERYTHING leads to 2 things → AP or Gold.
And minor things like service medals or pet charms.

resources → Rep missions → chest → gold (plus a tiny fraction of resources and some service medals)
resources → AP missions → AP
resources → Mission for runes → runes (equals gold)

Now for some math:
Talanji Expedition
Lets say common reward 200 Resources + 500 AP

First you need to fly to nazmir ~= 3-4 minutes. Complete some random WQ that are as close as possible ~8-12minutes.
Overall ~ 11-16 minutes
Reward: Some pet charms, 230 resources, some garbage gear, some bonus azerite
Minus: If you target specific world quests this is going to take a lot longer.

The easy way
Complete 2 islands on mythic
Overall ~ 10 minutes.
Reward: 700 AP.
Bonus: chance to get 200-2000g transmogs/pets/mounts/quest for another 700AP/doubloons

TL;DR, resources are useless, might as well do other stuff because you are going to just waste your time trying to profit from it. The only reson to have them are bonus roll coins or if you just like to do WQ.

The table complements world questing pretty well. During capped AK hard farm to get ready for a tier you get the war resources you need to keep doing the table missions during the downtime for the next AK cap, then hardfarm wq again once it is reached.

The reps are nice on the mission table, and i have been starting to see a lot of 600ish AP lately wich is very welcome lol.

It is true, because I am still constantly out of resources. Can barely get enough to buy seals, and sometimes I can’t even afford that.

If you’re not doing the content you can’t really complain that you don’t have the resources.

I don’t enjoy AP farming in any form but I do clear the map of AP daily, and in turn the emissaries. This also generates Paragon rewards. I only do the Island cap week. I just find them too boring. Both Emis and Paragons have reasonable amount of AP in them.

I do use the other currencies as well like the honorbound service medals. I just got my bat mount. I am slow to gather the dubloons but we have a whole expansion to earn the necessary to buy from the vendor so I’m in no hurry to burn out in IEs.

As my neck is level 41 and I’m well on my way to 42 I’m going to stick to my formula :wink:

They are useless to you. They are useful to me, they give me AP, rep, gold, pet tokens, runes etc. I am sitting on 19k war resources, I never struggle to do missions or buy my re roll seals.

People will do the content they want or they’ll do the content they feel they need to do. There is no right or wrong :slight_smile:.
