What is the scariest zone in WoW?

Saw this thread in the US forums and decided to make one here. Apologies if it’s already been posted.

The scariest zone for me is probably the pre-Cataclysm Tirisfal Glades.

Classic Duskwood .

I was pretty damn spooked when I leveled in Duskwood in TBC/WotlK as a kiddo. So yeah, probably Duskwood.

Classic Duskwood definately. Seeing Stitches for the first time!!! New pants needed.

Zones touched by the Emerald Nightmare. Those pulsing and twitching branches and roots were really scary and gross.
Duskwood was scary too, but in a good way, like watching good horror movie.

I always found Deadwind Pass to be the most creepy zone in WoW.

Classic Duskwood was scary af. I remember as a kid just not wanting to continue into the zone at a certain point. I was playing on a pvp server and it was my first time in a contested zone as well, and that just made it ten times worse.

Personal honorable mention: The first time I entered Dustwallow Marsh from Theramore on my gnome warlock on my way to complete a class quest all the way in the Barrens, dodging skull level crocolisks and enemy players through a damp, dark swamp. Now that was nerve wracking as hell. Pretty sure that happened during my first month of playing.

Oh the Dead Scar creeped me out years ago. I just got over the fact that I had to murder tiger cubs (it was really big deal back then!) , then got to that Dead Scar. My mind was fixated on atrocities that must have been commited to leave permanent mark like that, bones scattered everywhere.

In classic, I could never get my self to quest in Duskwood

Duskwood. With its wolf in red with the skull instead the number. I was terrified

Mulgore, definitely. Seeing all those walking cows roaming around is the scariest sight.
Always given me creeps.

Classic duskwood, I remember doing some quests on that big graveyard and mor ladim was always there, watching us and killing us if we got to close. Also there was that kinda long questline in the east northern area which i remember as kinda creepy.

In general I thought northrend, while not super creepy it definatly had the best, most depressing atmopshere in general, I always felt the threat of the lichking.

None of them. Scaling takes away any fear factor that might have been present. There used to be atmospheric zones, I guess the closest to that in BFA is Drustvar which is just about the only bearable zone for the Alliance.

Duskwood.

Remember running down the road from the town and seeing a few players running towards me with that monster Stitches after them.

i guess i tried to be the hero and attacked him and died before the sword hit him.

The only place that really gave me the creeps was Hellfire collecting Zeppelin scrap. You would think I could spot a Fel Reaver before it stamped on my head.

Dustwallow Marsh up by Tabatha’s farm was a bit worrying … especially as I was quite a few levels lower than the zone when I first travelled to meet Tabatha. The old crocs could spot a low level player from 100 yds. All teeth.

Orgirmmar. To think people can live in those conditions. The horror.

Deadwind Pass.
Sure, Duskwood was scary, walking along the shore of the pieceful Elwynn, seeing al those wolves with skulls, in a dark area covered in cloud of gloom.
But for me, the Pass always kept me on my toes. There wasnt really much that could kill you, but that sense of dread on every corner was real. That, and the hanged man
