What is with these insane eye blinding lights

For some reason it seems like some items and pets that have lights will give of this crazy annoying glow that completely filters out the original wow lighting, it almost feels like an image filter has been applied with how these items act and the radius of these lights is pretty big, what is going on?

Would post a screenshot of how it looks, but since these forums went full potato with not letting you add links… I cant.

Thanks. https://i.imgur.com/gOLN0py.jpg this is the one that I managed to capture, but this glow ends up everywhere inside the inn, it comes from someones item, its as if the item glow effect is way over done.

I’ve also seen a white glow effect that comes from a hunters pet that does the same thing and filters out the normal colours.

That does look a bit odd. I’d suggest you start by repairing the game files, and see if that has improved things for you. If not, go through the steps to re-install your graphics driver. Use a Display Driver Uninstaller to remove your current driver first, and install the latest driver afterwards.

Sadly I have done both those things just yesterday :frowning: Have the latest 419.67 nvidia driver and also did the game file scan, only a very certain small number of items cause this it seems, not sure if its some kind of DX12 bug or something, its super odd ;[

Could you try switching to DX11 Legacy, and see if the same lighting issue happens? You can change this in-game, through the System settings → Advanced.

Found out it is an glowing effect of a 15 yard radius caused by an in-game item called Bowl of Glowing Pufferfish
