Legit question, how do people feel about the game, and what is currently missing ?
Player housing as a profession. I’d like to see that we can level a construction profession to add more to our house and make it bigger. Possibly also place it in any zone.
-Catch up system for professions, being able to reset profession points.
-Re introduction of Valor OR reworking M+ rewards so you can actually upgrade your gear properly without having to grind lower keys or other content
-Balancing…
-Make all core (non heroic , except DK) classes available to all races. We are slowly moving towards that way anyway…
-Removing or re-designing the time-gating mechanics
-Implement (more) skip option for alts
-Increasing drop rates for BiS crafting recipes
-Public crafting orders must contain all materials provided by the customer
-Make mailing instant by default
-Dont lock too much stuff behind reputation(s)
-Eternal suffering to all vulperas
I’m always weary of questions like this one, because you can always easily think of features to add, and that potential for expansion, which all things have, may turn into a perceived flaw.
For me, I’d like to have an in-game journal explaining the lore of events, places and characters you’ve encountered. It would help new players figure the world out, and it would be a nice new collection to complete.
Also, I believe the game would benefit from a reworked starting experience, centered around the story of each race at least for the first ~10 levels, ideally more.
And the overall world should be brought to current age and reworked. An MMORPG should be a persistent, cohesive, living world. A virtual reality. With the way WoW is right now, a lot of its locations are stuck in a time when I was half my current age. The world should feel like current content, and it should stay that way.
Lastly, player and guild housing. They’ve taken huge steps forward lately when it comes to appeal for non m+/raiding/pvp players, but housing could take that kind of content on an entirely new level, giving casual players something to work for indefinitely, inciting creativity and self-expression, and reinforcing the sense of personal and social presence in this fantasy world.
Housing and new Battlegrounds.
Daily quests/world quests
A reason to do old patch content (so 10.0 stuff)
A side activity like island expeditions
Challenge Mode content but for solo players like Mage Tower that grant unique rewards aswell as a better leveling experience.
NEW Dungeons with every new Season is also something thats hardly lacking.
I personally think helper AI bots, don’t have the time to commit to a guild to consistently run new content or want to do old content then you should be able to hire AI bots to create a balanced party around your toon to let you experience the pve content anytime you want. Keep it locked at lowest ilevel gear so there’s still incentive to do the harder content.
Personally between family, work and periodic interest in wow it’s just not worth joining a raiding guild to get bored of the game in a month’s time without being able to consistently put the time in like when I was younger. If I was able to hire bots to help me run the content I’d be over the moon and exploring a lot more older raids and dungeons.
Subscribers.
Realm connections … or some other way to do group open world content from earlier in the expansion.
Also very niche but definitely missing, Draenei heritage armour.
Oh, and region-wide auction house for everything.
Less ppl posting that no one plays wow and upvote themselves with their 200 alts.
Besides that, i believe we need more races, allied races, more customization for out races and classes.
A player base, a great story, less woke nonsense, a better development team, removed content such as the Brutosaur, a company that actually listens to player feedback and not just the 1% of mouth breathers who live in this game, less go go go crap rushing through everything and so on and so on
- World content as a proper endgame pillar.
- Proper challenging solo content.
- A hunter pet customization system
WoW is missing preferred pronouns ingame
Example: Nakamura, Level 70 Undead Male Mage, Pronouns (She/Her/Queenselves)
this is how tooltips should work when we hover mouse over someone else’s character.
Fun open world content. I would kill for some GW2 style large scale ongoing meta events and other things like that.
Its kind of sad that wow has really big open world but its mostly dead because all the focus goes to boring crap like dungeons and raids.

Everyone’s too mature, these days
i cannot tell if you r joking or serious.
For me, two things:
- Solo challenging content like the mage tower, awarding atleast Heroic gear.
- Systems to go to old raids / old content / old world. It makes my heart shatter, seeing that we pretty much play the patches only, and nothing that came out before that. There would be so many easy solutions to implement this - one of the best was in WOTLK, where patch 3.3.5 introduced ‘Malygos must die’ type of quests. People cleared old raids while ICC was out, which was a great design.
A duel league. Not for rating/vanity purposes - Simply to practice in a 1v1 setting with arena conditions. Would help enormously in learning how to play your class efficiently in PvP. Otherwise I’m actually quite satisfied with the state of things in the game.
Also, love to see the unlocking of class restrictions.
Passion for the game from those developing and creating content. For me this is the one thing missing and you can feel it in the the game and the activities put in. Bland and boring cut and pastes. Most of what had been released has been done without passion. I guess it is to be expected from a filler xpac.
