What is Your Best Character Name in WoW?

I tend to go for RP-friendly names but I have a few Tauren with stupid names…so not sure if this really counts as the best or the worst. :stuck_out_tongue:

Mooteor, the Tauren Mage (sadly Meateor was taken)

My name, been using this nickname since the 90s… and there’s plenty of copycats to prove it!

My name will be very epic, when I go tank next season

Well Vandalino is a name I’m very proud of, as it’s the name of a mountain near where I live and one of my favourite hiking places (as well as swimming places due to the rivers), so it is something I really like.

I’m also very proud of “Macumbo” for my warlock and “Trenta” for my hunter, which is the street number where I live.

I have to say I laughed more than I’d like to admit when I saw my first Dracthyr named Trogdor :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Unlike some, I love the pun names.

We have Moosealini the druid, hexmagnet the shaman and karmageddon the monk.

ha ha, I forgot my mage, given their love of timewarp, and being a trekkie fan
“Maximum warp”

Macswarp

My fav name was Susanboyle, my dwarf shaman. Sometime ago(many years, MOP) I logged in to see I had a name change pending …

Ahh my warlock is called Clap, many many stupid names litter my account

I have a Tauren called Biltong & a Draenai called Ozric (after the band Ozric Tentacles)

I have a priest called Puck.

Was amazed i got the name in proper spelling and no funny lettering on ravencrest lmfao.

This character, named after an ancient Welsh lord.

Not so much a character name, but back in Vamilla circa 06, my first pet was ‘Clappy the crab’

Most of mine just come off the top of my head or from books I’m currently reading … sadly the least well thought out are probably the characters I play most.
My first character has my own first name (absolutely no imagination …)
Most I can’t remember, but my warrior Methos was from the Highlander the TV series; my worgen druid (made to see if I liked worgens … I didn’t) is Moirin from one of the Kushiel trilogies by Jacqueline Carey; my horde SP is Taggie after the heroine of Jilly Cooper’s books; my Pandaren Anapanda and my Dracthyr is Anandormi both because I still didn’t have any imagination; and finally Ananda, born in TBC, did have some thought put into her name. It’s the name of a person or form of meditation for both Buddhists and Hindus. I thought it would work for a priest (at that time I was Disc … not so sure the contemplative meaning of the word works so well for a SP.)

Probably this one, I like that it’s a proper name and that it’s kind sounds like bow at the end of her name. She’s a hunter after all.

For me this one cause was based on a meme and every time I see the video I laugh like an idiot.

On top of that this character was a PvP character back in SL; every time I would zugzug charge and not change to d-stance would be like throwing the game.
The “wp” can be read like “well played”, ofc sarcastically.

All of 'em

Snorin' - Dark Iron Dwarf Warrior
Wazzerd - Mechagnome Mage
Nhazyel - Void Elf Priest
Konwrath - Lightforged Draenei Paladin
Yuanhua - Pandaren Monk
Âhzvael - Night Elf Demon Hunter
Khrûl - Orc Warlock
Mooseburger - Highmountain Tauren Druid
Mangore - Mag'har Orc Shaman
Vha'al - Undead Death Knight

I wish we could have last names in WoW.

Heramis. Sadly I couldn’t pick it on Argent Dawn because some “name-saving” toon for a name seller probably reserved it.

But my current one Heramaar isn’t bat either.

  • Heramis = Hera + Artemis (Greek Mythology)
  • Heramaar = Hera (Greek Mythology) + Darth Maar (Star Wars)

As a Terry Pratchett fan, it doesn’t get much better.
