Straightforward question. What are you guys’ favorite raid ever? Excluding how you felt about the game as a whole at the time, which raid had the coolest lore, most unique encounters and mechanics or whatever you put the most emphasis on?
For me it’s actually Nighthold, even though legion is far from my favorite xpac.
ICC and Ulduar comes very close though!

My favourite was ToT. Even though it had a bit too much trash I loved the unique boss fights:
-Horridon as addwave fight disguised as huge boss
-kicking around turtels
-flying around to kill baby birds and collect bird vomit to deal more dmg
-dying in the eye’s stupid labyrinth
-everyone tanking an add against the Animus
-drawing shapes in the fight against the female Mogus
Also the transition from trolls to strange mogu experiments to the strongest mogu was well made.
And it had some cool looking tier sets.

Throne of Thinder hands down.
-
Awesome aesthetics.
-
Creepy atmosphere.
-
An old, abandoned fortress full of long-forgotten horrors and with a shockingly good villain at the end.
-
Two solid mounts.
-
pretty good transmog sets.
-
Very good and fun bosses (well, most of them).
-
Awesome music.

My favourite is always the current one. Liked MC back on days, love Eternal palace now. For me its about fun of progression. I would only attend 1st kills and never do farm runs.

Karazhan 10, without a doubt. The amount of fun I had in that one trumps anything else.
Plus, fighting your way up a Magic Tower, with Golems, and Undead, and Dragons and stuff. What is more Fantasy than that? Plus, there is a freaking Enchanted Chessgame before the Boss. ENCHANTED CHESSGAME!

Siege of Orgrimmar is my favorite raid. Second favorite is Hellfire Citadel. These both are the most enjoyable for me. It is not Uldir as I did not do any raids in BFA, even on LFR.

Depends on what you mean.
In a sense of atmosphere and environment and design; I think I’d have to say Throne of Thunder.
In a sense of actual raiding; well… I have very fond memories of Blackwing Lair from my vanilla raiding days. Raids nowadays are more just a ‘story delivering system’ for me than anything else.
As for Uldir; never finished it. I decided to try out actual raiding again, for the first time since TBC days. Found out I still really just don’t enjoy it. So I’ve done the first few bosses of Uldir on normal, but nothing afterwards. Didn’t even go there to finish it on LFR because the raid doesn’t offer me anything I want; there’s basically no alliance story there and all the transmog there looks horrendous.
Return to Ivalice, especially the Orbonne monastery. Yeah it’s casual but whatever, it was a rollercoaster for me

I hate that game. Its an Asian Boob-mmo. Hell, they even have female Fishnetstockingandthong-Starterarmor…
Not only that, the new set they made as a collab with Nier Automata is a 2b set that actually makes your butt bigger and better. can be worn by male characters too. Love that game.
Ice Crown Citadel.
And I dont think any other Raid can ever beat it. Its not even because of the design, which was great, or the bosses, which were great too.
I grew up with WC3, it was my first contact with Warcraft and so for me, the Story of Warcraft is the Story of Arthas and Thrall. Thralls Story was finished at the end of WC3 with the bonus campaign, but Arthas did just became the Lich King, his story wasnt over yet.
So for me, ICC was like the final Level of the “original” Warcraft Story. Confronting the Lich King and ending his reign once and for all…
The Moment Arthas fell was the moment when the original Story of Warcraft officially ended. Everything after that is more like a Spinnoff game for me.

Ice Crown Citadel or Karazhan… I’m conflicted.
Karazhan was my first ever raid experience so it has a special place in my heart, I got my first epics there also.
Ice Crown Citadel was probably the most exciting and (at the time) challenging raid with varied mechanics which is why I loved it so much.
Ulduar, the lore, design, color, bosses are just top notch.
Karazhan, ICC, Throne of Thunder, Nighthold are pretty good too.

ICC and Nighthold.
Im barely raiding but in uldir i like MOTHER battle. The problem is that for alliance there is no clue why you need to go tehere…
Blackrock Foundry, Nighthold and Dazar alor of the more recent ones.
ICC and Ulduar from the classics.

Blackrock foundry.
Amazing music,all around fun bosses.
even the tank and spank boss Gruul was a fun fight and certainly as tank, and i found gruul one of most fun bosses to tank of all time honestly.
All bosses where pretty unique really, had all around cool theme.
I wouldnt say it had a single bad boss, the worst was prolly maidens to first part taking to low before stuff actully started happening.
ANd blackhand was the warlord that actully felt like warlord, with voice acting, the place of figt which couldve really only taken place there(which goes for many fights in the raid) instead of room couldve been white circle and nothing wouldve changed.
And was just fun fight and i consider Blackhand the single best Raidboss of all time.
Ulduar followed by BWD in Cata.
