First thing is have PallyPower, this addon saves your life.
Of course it’s annoying if the mages and warrior dps blow themselves up all the time and instantly request new buffs when they ress. You may want to scream in your head ‘Stop dying a-hole!!’, but every class has it’s responsibilities
I love the class so much that the minor inconveniences don’t bother me that much.
I’m not really a gigantic fan of any of the classes in Classic to be honest, but if I had to choose favourites it would have to be the warlock.
I was very taken aback by just how efficient they were at levelling when specced into affliction, not only do you have a ton of survivability but you neither have to drink or stop to refresh everything after nearly every kill.
Destruction also feels really snappy and fun, it’s just a shame that it’s borderline unusable in group PvE content due to how much threat you generate and it’s not nearly as efficient as affliction.
Love my Rogue in Classic. Pretty decent DPS in raids and love being able to sneak about soloing dungeons etc. Although, a rogue was my main in retail after retiring my hunter which I had since Vanilla.
My second class in Classic and one which I’ve never played before is also a Pali. I really love being about to do everything, tank, heal etc and wearing plate and a shield is soooo nice compared to when you’re used to wearing leather.
Although, I have now started a Hunter again, with the same name as my first ever char back in Vanilla… just for the ‘feels’ and I’m really enjoying the hunter style again. Really tempted to make it my main for TBC, it’ll either be that or my Pali and then save my rogue for arena - choices, choices!
Mage. I just love the class fantasy. You conjure raw power from the very fabric of being. No pacts with fel demons, no begging and pleading with the elements and spirits and loa. Not hitting enemies over the head with a sharp stick like a true zug zug. You just will a HUGE BALL OF FIRE into being with your mind. Because screw you, reality. Burn and plunder as it suits my desire, my weapon of choice are the huge balls of fire.
Why the gay dress tho?
I just like healing, but priest is not for me, so I have resto druid and shaman. Maybe in TBC I’ll also make pala. But probably for tanking.
CLASSIC tune.
But the gay dress is the best. I want the pink dress from AQ20 just on the basis that it’s pink. Just so I can cannibalise dead gnomes while wearing a pink dress.
Yeah, but then you are wearing it ironically and that doesn’t count
My first character was shaman and after many years of playing mage I returned to shaman in Classic.
This class is the most variative of all with very high cap of developing in dps (2 ways), tank and heal specs. There are many pvp styles as well. You can basically play it forever, trying new talents and item sets everyday.
Warlock. I love being a dark demonic manipulator of the living. Having multiple pets that all provide various amounts of utility and also being one of the strongest 1v1 classes in the game. I also like the fact that we are one of the least played classes
Hunter and elemental shaman.
Why hunter? Because in PvE I decide the speed in raids. Dps wise we are not the best, but as a range support we are highly needed. In PvP we are God’s if played correctly, the occasionally one shot of a mage from behind a tree is also a classic experience. And we can farm 150g an hour in DMT.
Why shaman? Well to honest. Trinket - Elemental mastery - Chain lightning - Earthshock - most likely a win. And of course purge because Wcb horde only. PvE wise (especially 5mans) with my current gear im having loads of fun, dealing a tremendously amount of dmg.
Shaman, I like the whole theme of the class and resto is fun, in fact all 3 specs are fun.
Been a paladin in classic so far while waiting for TBC and it’s a nice class, lots to offer in terms of buffs and aura good class lore and the epic mount is pretty cool.
Hunter is nice to just go wander and quest etc.
Warrior all the way!
