First seriously touching memory: finding a random chair and a table somewhere in Grizzly Hills, sitting down there, pulling out a feast and listening to the music for an hour.
When one day I decide that I’ll never play WoW again, I’ll go park all my characters in several favorite zones, including Grizzly Hills.
The last one will be my shaman. I’ll go park her in Bloodmyst Isle, overlooking the sundown, have her lie down on the beach, and log out.
Levelling in classic, late level 30s I think. Killing mobs on the beach near booty bay when one of them drops a ‘staff of jordan’ . First epic I’d seen - sold and payed for my level 40 riding.
It was the 24th or 25th of December, some years back, sat at my desk about to log into World of Warcraft, took a look outside the window and it was snowing, the best day playing video games I’ve ever had.
I’ve a lot of fond memories of WOW, particularly from the early days when everything was new. Here’s a few videos of RP shenanigans that I was involved in.
But my favourite is probably the night that I took Hogger on a sightseeing tour to Blackrock Mountain.

I tried to do the same with Mor’ladim one day. But he froze up as soon as sunlight touched him on the edge of Duskwood and vanished.
My first toon walking into Ironforge first time up heading down the tunnel/corridoor into the main central chamber and standing there with the Dwarves getting about their Blacksmithing…i was “seriously WOW” with the hot lava either side of the walkway
For me the best memory is 16 February 2008. I logged in that day on my main to join the raid I was joining. It was when I met someone in game who became my boyfriend, and will have been my husband for three years so far on 1 June 2022. On the day I logged in I had told myself “Just give yourself six more months of the game, enough to do a whole raid, then let the game time expire and move on…” Because I met this new friend all my plans changed and so did my life. For the best, with a man I will love for the rest of my life, who I met because we both had a common interest, which is this game. For good or bad, this game can bring good things to people, and it got me a second chance at love after my first marriage had ended in mid-2007. There are many good memories of stuff to do with the game but all other memories dwarf in comparison.
That one and only time I’ve gotten an ahead of the curve achievement and mount from an expansion end boss. We only got down to 7% on the previous tier, but stayed up until the servers reset on patch day, but that too was still memorable.
Other than that it has to be too many to mention little things from WoW early days…
In original tbc my shaman mentor taught me how to bug out fire nova totem to kill friendly players. i taught this to a good friend of mine and logged off,
When i logged back on i saw alot of skeletonts in the city and the corpse of a another good friend of ours
