What level can i solo old raids

Got my horde hunter to level 60, the plan is to do all original quests dungeons and raids and solo. What level will i be able to solo the original raids at ?

Hey Limeade,

In general, you can try to start soloing raids once you are 10+ levels above them.
Though certain encounters, due to mechanics / class, might require you to be even higher than 10+ levels.

Good answer.

Specifically, the “legacy buff” kicks in, and Personal Loot rules stop, when you are ELEVEN levels above the content.

Personal Loot rules are a Big Deal when soloing old content.

Perhaps you can solo Molten Core at, say, level 65. I don’t know whether you can or not, depending on class and gear, but say you can. If you do, the loot that drops for you will be the same as if you were one person in a party of 40.

However, at level 71, 11 levels above Molten Core, you will get ALL the loot that would be dropped for a whole raid of 40.

People do old raids for transmog a lot. This is therefore a big thing.

So I would suggest starting your Vanilla-raid-solo campaign at level 71.

Same goes for dungeons. AFAIK, all Vanilla dungeons will be treated as level 60 when you are 60 or above, so I’d get to 71 to farm them for max loot.
