What made you quit Classic?

Hehe okay let’s just say that I accidentally did because it was on an auto renewal (not even kidding I’m that stupid). And it’s set to 6 months. So… rip xD

I mean, calling it terrible is situational.

Retail has the better raids / dungeons.
Classic has the better leveling(for people who like to go slow)

Quit back sometime in November after getting to 60. I was on Stonespine server which is like 65:35 H:A with (relative) low population to other servers. Needless to say this meant it took hours just to form a group and it became too painful to even bother trying to farm my pre-raid bis.

After a 2 month break my sub was ending so I decided to hop back on the day before it expired to see if I wanted to get back into it or not, ended up deciding to resubscribe and transferred to a better server.

Too many players in same server.
Not forcing faction populations to be even.
Some racials are way overpowered. (Yes, You Orcs)
The 2020 player mentality.

I am still trying to have some fun but most of my friends quit becouse of bad pvp as alliance - u get farmed everywhere the orc racial is just straight broken nothing more i can say the pve so far is dungeon level you try to get to an instance and u got ganged 50 times and tbh looking at it things are getting worse more alliance quit every day and blizzard is not doing anything to keep em in game so tbh in general i belive the biggest problem is that we wanted vanilla wow not vanilla 2.0 that is actually turning to vanilla 3.0 with more and more changes.

Blizzard: Lol solutions , lol problem fixing , lol keeping people in game sorry but we dont do that here

Anyone posting on these forums about quitting, isnt quitting.

If you do something you just do it and not talk about it.

Having actually tried TBC again recently on private servers I disagree. Obviously this is just my opinion, but vanilla is definitely as good as it gets. TBC isn’t horrible. It’s fun for at least two weeks.

The timing isn’t great for getting a picture of what’s actually happening with leavers. With the launch of new content on the retail side I’ve seen a drop in people playing but at a guess they’ll return to classic once the novelty of the new stuff wears off. I logged in for the first time since classic, made my vulpera then logged out again and haven’t been back. Add to that the pvp changes will annoy some who may then leave but also appeal to others who will stay or return. It’s really difficult to get a feel for how classic will ebb and flow with joiners and leavers but likely a lot will come back to it, at least for a while, once the BWL content is out. For me, the main thing making me tire a bit of it is the complete lack of support from ActiBlizz in tackling the cheating, botting etc that many of us have reported for months with no apparent action.

Y many of us are staying but how much more changes do you think we will handle
