EU has always been the harder side to gain rating in, compared to NA. And that NA DK is just flaunting his pego around. I’d say ego, but there’s definitely some P in there as well.
Petkick actually is one of the best if not the best Unholy in NA.

Look, DK isn’t unplayable. Far from it. But saying it’s fine is just comical.
You take petkick who has been rank1 since dk existed and plays with some of the best players in the world and determine that what he says is correct?
If panzerhenk comes out and says mw is fine etc etc every other mw is just questionable does that mean mw is infact perfectly fine because right now he has 3 mws sitting at r1?
Take the average player of each spec and ask how much effort does 1 need to put in to reach x and make your own decision. What petkick says isn’t completely wrong, dk isn’t bad it just doesnt compare to other melee. Why and who wants to bring a dk when everything else brings more to the table?
The fact that in both regions there are only 2 dks in r1 range right now says more than enough for me. You are free to make your own conclusion. Please also bear in mind that the dk sitting at r1 on the eu ladder is for some reason queueing only at 5 am since October last year :))))))
Huge diff in meta play over there on NA compared to EU. The biggest problem with DK is the defense is sheit into certain classes and while it’s easier to make some questionable stuff work on NA, it’s much harder on EU because this region is more meta slave. No doubt that Petkick is one of the best Unholy DKs in the world and he would definitely pump some rating on EU, but I highly doubt he would get anywhere near r1 cutoff with Unholy, sp, rsham over here.
DK itself is not a weak class and neither are other classes that are considered bad rn like wl, ele+enhance or mw, but they are not op and in a meta where everything else is considered to be op, classes that are just “good” can be played at high level by someone who mastered them, but it requires way more effort from you and your teammates and it’s gonna be hard to find people willing to go through that, when they themselves could just play some meta stuff and pump it harder.
Remind me when I told pikaboo in EU outlaw was common and he says ‘’ really? What is going on there’’ and he still think outlaw is terrible.
I guess it depend but we see stuff here that they don’ t in us and same goes for them compared to us.
Imo unholy is probably not bad but because it doesn’t have os potential people don’t like it. We probably going to see them back next patch anyway
I’m not sure he thinks it’s terrible. He played it recently. I know what you mean I saw that stream but it was a month ago.

Playing at 5 in the morning with the best players in the world for over 6 years is simply all there is to it.
NA ladder is entirely different and the lack of RMP clearly shows they either have no clue what’s really strong or simply can’t play it.
DK is extremely obnoxious into casters but complete garbage into physical.
Facing hunters, warriors, even rogues and ferals hurts DK a lot.
With the amount of jungles currently DK is in super bad spot. Frost can at least try and Zug zug with warrior in a decent chill streak but unholy doesn’t even have that.
The least thing he needs right now is some sort of blood presence that gives bit more Def,hp and most importantly Armor.
Is meta difference. Plus EU RMPs > US rmps.
Also idk how he was able to push 3.3k. If you queue at that MMR on EU m, all ret-war teams will eat you alive. Unholy has 0 peels against ret-war and most likely your shaman will be dead the second go.
Not wanna sound like a hater, but I watched some of the streams of petkick 2s mostly at 2.2k-2.4k mmr and US are playing literally like 1.8ish on eu.
Winning as unholy in the first go never happens at that mmr on EU, no matter how good you are.
If DK was good, do you think that LFG groups 300CR lower than me would whisp me saying they would rather play ret war than tsg? I don’t think so.
Or do you think that cervantes would struggle this much at 3.5k mmr?
DK altogether is bad and because is bad it has limited comps. Like you can’t properly play comps like shadowplay or phdk.
On unholy you’re pmuch stuck with TSG being the main comp and probably sp/dk into comps like rmp/jungle, and frost has only two comps being tsg and twd. Neither of those conps are at least A/A+ tier, no matter the players that are playing it.
DK atm is the worst melee class in the entire expasnion. But look at MES, but look at Cervantes, but look at Petkick - its not wroking. Mes - who everyone talked about 1-st season already rerolled long time ago, Cervantes still tryhard a lot to try take R1, but mainly playing warrior. Petkick isn’t PRO player and UDK addict tryhard a lot and get carried by his teammates. Also NA have much more fun and non META setups.
P.S. Idk when Mes or Cervantes played their DKs - the said they get carried. And only petkick said he is so good. He looks like big EGO little boy tho.
Yeah dks are fine, but they are still one of the weakest classes.
I dont play dk anymore but trust me if warrior “only” would be fine but not the best the forum would be full of NA or EU warrior crying und Posting that they are quitting.
Dont act like NA or EU or DKs or Warrior are more or less whiny people.
Edit: And i agree with mes Statement…Dks have no ability playstyle you can rly master or after a game you say to urself this Was nice pressed. Like intervene on a warrior or every Support Button on a ret or someth like that.

Let me get this straight.
Frost is not bad. Is balanced, but in a game where every other class is busted, balanced is bad.
Unholy is bad.
To play both specs at a decent rate you have to put 3 times more effort (you and your partners) than playing a S/A+ tier comp.
Main issue with DK altogether is availability. I sat weeks in LFG at 2850 finding partners to play with, but only 2.5k xp people would apply. And I don’t judge them, who would like to cripple themselves playing a worse comp?
If DK was as good as NA describes do you think the ladder won’t be flooded by it like it happens with warrior and lately DH?
well, in general. Players overall whine too much all the time, instead of just playing the game. It’s just a videogame

like u still think coilbuild does most its dmg with dot but if u wouldve played it urself and checked the dmg u would see that on killtarget coil is way higher.

and ye uhdk will most likely be pretty good next patch. on ptr it feels strong. coil/wound build pumps big sustain and abom limb bursts hard. hopefully they change the 2set to wounds popped and uhdk will be complete.
i also noticed that necrotic wounds now heal u for up to 5% maxhealth per stack when they run out. so up to 30% of your health with 6 stacks (dependant on healing absorbed ofc). not sure if its just a bug but if not thats crazy.
