Hello there this is my first post here
i have been playing wow since 2007 on and off
i have recently fell inlove with the game once again and now i really want
to make a mark and stay around a while
i have never really touched professions, and i think it is about time now to do so
there are no recent posts about what professions to take as a hunter so im curious to hear about what would be best for me now.
i got pathfinder part 2 today and im ready to stright up grind professions for some money making.
so what should i take as my 2 professions i have seen lw/skinning is a popular one and miner/engineering but these are all posts from 8.0 and 8.1

Profs are dead in 8.3, but alchemy and herbalism might get you some gold. Good luck !!
The only useful professions outside of gold making ones is engineering.
I usually have it on every toon I make. It’s amazing for bgs and world pvp with rocket boost and glider/parachute.
You then have useful things like jeeves for the raid repair and other nifty gadgets. My hunter is a goblin also so I had to pair him with engineering 
Not to mention you have 6 teleport toys you can make and use as an engineer!
Skinning and Leatherworking. You gonna get 2 Bis 470 + gems on you so that is pretty good.
