So I dont have many friends to play WoW with hehe. For some one that dont play with a lot of people, is it better to play as support role for my main (Tank and Healer). To just max iLVL and get a alt for dps. Beacuse I am very impatient with ques and I dont mind supporting.
I know it is a personal preference of what you like the most. But if I could get any tips or suggestions?
Hello there Netherdark, good of you to ask for some advice.
My tip keep playing your warlock it also supports people or a mage also a great way to support people.
Warlocks can summon portals and create healthstone for during combat
Mages can conjure food and create portals which also supports your team mates.
Hope this helps
Almost every spec has some sort of support tools, but if you really don’t want to wait in queues at all then tank is the way to go as they have the fastest queues.
Both heals and tanks get fast queues, but if you’re spending a lot of time in the world, tanks generally have better options for playing solo. By definition, they all have at least a tanking spec you can use to bulldoze packs and elites, and at least two DPS specs (except DH).
Druids, Monks, Paladins, of course have all options, and in your situation I’d rather be one of those than a Priest or Shaman.
But really, what I think is that you shouldn’t play a class solely because of a plan around your roles: first decide what classes you like, and then factor in their ability to fill roles.
I always play DPS because I find the role of tank/healer to be very stressful without friends. Unfortunately PUGs are often filled with toxic people. However, if such things do not bother you I believe we are in a short supply of tanks! Plus, it makes everything a lot easier to solo
If that includes M+, then right here in patch 9.0 and probably 9.0.5: DH tank or Holy Paladin. Both are FOTM and highly in demand for group content and get picked above other classes.
Will they hold up in future? Can’t possibly say - but tanks or healers have good queues in general.
From just a healer perspective; I don’t pug M+ but with anything queueable (LFR, heroics, random battlegrounds) the wait is usually 2-5 minutes, and the seasonal dungeon events are more like 10-20 seconds.
Either role, learned well and made yours, makes you forget that other people have queues at all
