What Shadowlands covenant you would choose for your real self? 🤔

Many of us are pondering this moment what covenant their main and alts will choose. What if you would have to choose permanent covenant for yourself? Which theme you would feel most at home? Which covenant abilities you think you would need in your work or free time in life?

I think i belong to Night Fae. I would feel like home in the forest tending seeds and i could use the Soulshape to zoom around on busy day at work. If i could also get druids Convoke the Spirit i would become multitasking master and get things done so much faster leaving me more time to game on evenings.

What covenant do you belong to?

The covenant for people who feel a bit queasy…

None. I prefer to keep to myself, all those covenants are not for me.

Night Fae

Ardenweald seems like the perfect place to relax in the afterlife

While I adore the swolkins, I also value my memories, and my past, so Kyrian is out. I’m not fond of torture, nor vampires, so bitey boys are out as well. While my work pretty much forces me in front of the computer for most of the day, I do like nature. I love a nice walk in the woods. Maldraxxus has no trees, so they’re out as well - doubly so, because I’m not a soldier/warrior type either.

That leaves me with Night Fae. Plenty of wood and nature, nice atmosphere, even if a little bit too sparkly for my taste. But that’s ok, I can live with that. Not to mention that my wife and our kids would definitely go Night Fae, and my place is at their side.

I mean Necrolords are all “might makes right” while Kyrian you surrender your individuality to follow a path and Venthyr is all about that torture as a means to “redeem” people, they’re all totalitarian in different ways. As a libertarian socialist I’d have to say Night Fae seems the best because while it’s still a monarchy at least judging by the short there seems to be choice. Rule by consensus, sort of?

Also there would be kitties to pet.

This pretty much.

I have to stress here this question was not about afterlife though, but more like what scenes you enjoy and what covenant abilities would make your life easier. :slightly_smiling_face:

I mean this suggests you’re working for that covenant though. If all there is is that we just get the abilities in real life, then I’d say you’re foolish not to pick Kyrian. You get an owl friend who brings you a potion that improves your health and cures you of illnesses. That’s huge.

If it would be my choice Ardenweald
But based on my irl persona it’s maldraxxus :disappointed:

But i am hobbyist gardener so growing seeds is my thing. I did consider Kyrian for the steward but someone wise educated me it’s not bringing any wine so i gave up on the idea at that point.

Not big on the whole “staying alive” thing huh?

When i get really old i swap to Kyrian! (ok they wouldn’t probably take me but that’s another issue)

Well what if you get sick, and you swap to Kyrian to be cured, then when you get old you’ll have to fill the bar and wait a week and you’ll be too old and tired to push your walker around and pick up winged lion droppings and stuff.

Would choose and will choose Night Fae with my ally and horde druid - the only choice for a druid, tbh. Will certainly try a few different ones with more alts though.
