Hello, I m a new player. Actually I am lvl 45 human warrior dps, and I have a question. I am grinding Strenght, Stamina and Agility together, about 130 each. Am I doing it right?
At that level, you want any stat that increases your damage basically. So yes, what you will have available at that level is mostly strength and agility, perhaps some crit rating on a few pieces.
Stamina is not bad while leveling since it increases your survivability, but is not something I’d stack or go for. It’s a stat that somewhat comes naturally, and nowadays in WotLK survivability is not really an issue anyway.
You are doing the right thing, though STR is your main stat as a warrior.
I don’t know the exact breakdown, but I would guess that STR is about 20% more useful than AGI.
That’s while levelling, at endgame, when you have gems to increase crit dmg, and are mostly focussing on ARP, these stats come closer together.
A confusing stat you will see is increases your attack power (AP). This is also good, and a stat you should compare to the STR you got. I believe 1 STR equals 2 AP. So whatever is the highest number when comparing gear, you should wear.
Str also gives a bit of armor, which is handy while levelling and reducing downtime.
There must also be full guides on this somewhere.
Hello Pipporegor, as a Warrior player you are in the lucky position to get spoon fed all relevant information by an entire community full of Warrior enthusiasts.
And lucky for you, their top nerd wrote a Warrior leveling guide!
Hope it helps you! Good luck and have fun.
Just to add, do not completely discount Spirit, it is low-key best levelling stat because it makes you recover between fights faster. Gear that has “of the Boar” suffix is some of the best you can wear if you are going to have an uncommon (green) in the slot (no blue from recent dungeon or elite quest).
I dont think that goes for warriors Nicolay, they dont want to stand around regenning and then have rage drop. It’s about going round and whack mobs, then bandage, and if thats on cooldown, eat.
The trinkets you can pick up levelling that restore HP on kill are pretty cool, but thats a bit later in the game.
For any other class Spirit is allright-ish- untill level 45 or so. Then it takes too long for spirit regen to warrant not going for food/drink.
Yeah that’s my mage brain speaking, it’s amazing for mages since we get a lot of mana regen while casting, and it speeds up drinking too since it adds to the water ticks. I suppose it’s actually not that good for warrior indeed.
