What tank should i choose

Hey

im stuck between my Paladin, my DK or my Druid. Im not playing high m+ or world first, just around Ksm and Aotc. I love tanking but my main, the Paladin bores me after so many years, i like the DK theme but also healing option that dk didn’t offer. But i am also a tmog fan, a thing Druide don’t have.

For Ksm ist a blood dk equal to a prot pala? Or far worse?

For KSM there is no argument for any tank. Just play what you want.

for anything below like 23-24s you should just play whatever you find the most appealing.

that said, prot paladin is probably the best pug tank because of its toolkit, if you really care about that kinda thing.

blood dk is fine at these levels of keys though, because their main weakness is usually that they get one shot by high lvl bosses or big trash pulls before they can heal back up, and this doesnt happen in <20s.

What about a demonhunter? i see alot of people whining about them being too strong on the forums

For KSM and HC raid, it doesn’t matter what tank you play. Just pick whichever one you enjoy most.

Big damage: VDH
Big utility: Prot paladin
Big rear: Bear
Big heals: Blood
Big headache: prot war

vdh is probably on par with prot paladin in a lot of scenarios, but it’s definitely a strong pug tank because you have double AoE silence sigil + a ton of damage which allow you to carry pug keys pretty hard on fortified weeks.

So Blood Dk ist a bad choice for pugs cause i have only time to pug.

On the level you Play there is 0 difference. Just Play what’s fun for you

I wouldn’t recommend Guardian Druid. There is huge button bloat and the rotation is a bit too complex. You have a lot options to spend your rage on, maybe too many options.

Maybe something more simple with an easy rotation, like Blood DK.

I like that bit of sarkasm

i think blood dk is a fine choice, just has a bit of a learning curve to it since most of ur tankyness relies on you knowing what abilities & trash mobs hurt so you can time your heals with it.

that said though, for KSM level keys nothing should really hurt badly enough for it to matter, so I think you’ll be fine. BDK is a nice pug tank because it doesnt rely on anyone else. if your healer isnt healing you on prot pala, you could die as a result. as BDK you dont really care.

If you only want AotC and KSM bdk is completely fine, blood and maybe bear are really good in low pug cause you can solo the trash and bosses if healer plays poorly.

If you ever want to push then reroll FotM cause else you have to stay in queue for a while.

SOLD! :moneybag:

I love Blood DK and do M+ with it.

But i’ve been trying Monk and that’s quite fun.

in pugs prot pal is key. I would say VDH up to lvl 20 and Prot Pal lvl 20-30. Spell Shield is just superb to give somebody the surviving oneshot mechanic edge. Also sacrifice or just sometimes a heal. You cycle ccs anyway on higher keys, vdh double sigil is great sure but is it really necessary for pulls that are going to get bursted, or is divine toll and the rest of the group and its cc enough?

Play DH or pala if you want to be invited to keys

You are tmog fan? Right now Druid got A LOT of love from blizzard.

You either spend it on Ironfur or you get beaten to a pulp.

What stats are the best vor surva? Versa? And whats the best start when i gather a mob group so i don’t die, slappy hands or use a def cd?
