Yep, what the hell indeed. I can’t believe how empty and weak BM feels now. I mean they’d made it fairly mindless anyway but this is truly terrible - both the look and the feel. Very sad.

Its honestly making me very sad. l have a grand total of 2, TWO, shots in my rotation, Cobra and Barbed. Not counting interrupts etc. Am I just going to stand there auto-shooting and twiddling my thumbs, while my pet whittles the enemy away?

I´m happy to be Dark Ranger with all my hunters and still have black arrow to use in my rotation. You all should try it, even in TWW I found it more fun than pack leader.
In pvp, I still have a lot of things to press. black arrow, barbed, cobra and wailing arrow for damage. Interrupt and Chimaeral for casters. Ice trap, stun and binding for the CC. Turtle, Feign, Exhilaration, and Survival for heal and damage reduction. Disengage and Cheetah for movement… And I still miss some skills.
And I like having bloodshed paired with BW, it saves one button for all big dmg.
With the buttons I’ve freed up I have been able to bind passive and agressive pet stances to have more control over my pet.
After 2 days of nice pvp, I don´t miss anything from my BM. Maybe only the root efect on tar trap, but I can´t leave without it.

I think hunter has to be one of the best fantasy classes in the game. Each Hunter spec has its benefits . MM is still good , SV and BM have their own beasts fantasy and good damage. I dont know why are you all crying. Obviously you cant beat these OP melee classes right now , but its still prepatch. I am still having a good time playing Marksmanship.

They are talks about pve more i think, but ye, in pvp when numbers ll tuned for all classes, it might be not that bad, i think it might be just boring a bit imo. The current state of pvp isn’t good, when damage dealing have more value then dealing more good cc chains and setups, and outplay opportunities. Also they made damage dealing simple like we are playing mobile sh.. game, and its not only about damage
Survival is actually great now, number wise etc.

frost mage is so bad now
Used to be a cool spec where you freeze a enemy
now it’s just to boring
BM was going thsi way ages ago, totally boring spec to play and on top of that punished if a frenzy drops off. go MM or change class. i think they want a nice basic, easy spec to play for new people coming in and theyve decided BM will be just that
The class feels so weak in damage profile compared to other classes at the same ilvl (such as evoker and havoc dh). BM has a very flat line on dps and it’s on the bottom tier to boot, it’s ac tually below devourer DH and I thought devourer was the weakest dps in the game currently.
It’s saving grace is that the pets tanking things is great, but it feels like it takes an eternity to kill mobs and if you look at the damage meter you can see why, it’s from the overall dps.
I also noticed wowhead recommends pack leader to maximize dps, but the suboptimal dark ranger spec consistently does 1-2k higher dps in all scenarios.

I have mained SV Hunter for 2 expansions now, and LOVED it all this time… Then pre-patch went live… and I had the exact same thought when testing Hunter…
“All my fun CC is gone?!”
”Why can’t I survive in PvP anymore??”
”Blizz took away my favorite spec!!!”
But now that I’m just in standby mode waiting for Midnight, I decided 2 weeks ago to give SV Hunter a new “fresh attempt with an open mind”… 
And after 3 days of testing the spec, I kind of love it again…
Not in the same way of course… because it is now essentially a completely new spec. 
But I learned the new playstyle, and now manage to play it better than most other specs I tested since the pruning. 
Same goes for MM Hunter btw, I MUCH rather prefer this new reworked version which honestly feels closer to what it was before it last time got changed…
What I’m trying to say, is that while I HATED WITH A PASSION the new Hunter CC changes (still do)… I gave Hunter a fair chance with an open mind and ended up really liking it.
