After a couple of months I came back to wow. It is great! But I am a casual player. For me its not worth grinding all the things that are possible. Like azerite power, its not worth grinding till level 80 because when I get there 9.0 will be live.
What things wont be available anymore in 9.0? Things I should do in BFA. Any tips are welcome! I cant find a list on the internet. Maybe we can make a great list with all the comments.

You can’t buy the long boi mount anymore so if you want it then you’re gonna need 5 million gold before 9.0.
Just gonna list the things you may miss out in shadowlands, even if it’s not from a casual perspective
Get your PvP sets as they may not be available later on unlike the legion ones
Do a +15 in every dungeon (you may use different characters to do so) and earn the mount
Get rank 4 essences for the cosmetics
Do HV until you can get your backpack
earn the long boi
Get the raid mount
Get the IE mount (unless they make it soloable it will be much harder to farm them)
Get the Warfronts sets and farm the currency for the mounts (same reason, unless they make it soloable it’ll be hard to farm it later on)
Get the open world mounts and achievements which require multiple players. Not impossible but it’ll be harder to find ppl to do it in 9.0
Get the paragon boxes rewards you seek. It’s better to do your emissaries now as the rewards can be usefull rather than waste your time later on
Get the world PVP achievements and titles as you’ll struggle to earn honor once shadowlands is released

Get to lvl 120 on the character I want to potentially play, than proceed to wait 2 months for honest SL reviews.

Uninstall, unsubscribe and wait for 9.0.
The Devs have pretty much given up on BFA and are now looking into the horizon. Might as well, we do the same. By abandoning the current ship and setting sail to join the new one that delivers the promises once made by the creators.
Should be usable for vanilla => BFA content, but not in shadowlands.
So getting that m+ azerite laser may be a good idea if you want to speed up your transmog runs or farm old world materials
Get the legendary cloak for appearance unlock I suppose. The story related legendaries always seems to go away when the next expansion hits.
what’s a raid mount? and the ie mount and which achievments are you talking about?
All recent raids have a special mount on the last boss for mythic mode which has a 100% drop chance until the next raid is released, and will go down to 1% afterward.
There’s at least a dozen mounts in the island expeditions, but they are pretty rare. Thankfully the new crates seems to have something like 20 to 30% chances to drop a mount depending on the crate
Pretty much all the achievements in the PvP > World tab. You won’t find players at your level using warmode later on, or at least not enough.
You need something like 300 to 500 kills in a zone for some achievements in the worst case scenario. Hard to do that once the only purpose of the zone is to clipboard
A dinosaur mount? Pass
Well, I wouldn’t say 9 million as you get it slightly cheaper if you use a goblin to purchase it. 20% off the price basically if you’re exalted with said vendor that sells it. So… That’s 1,800,000 gold of the price which brings it to 7,200,000 million.
How I bought the mount from WOLK and the mount in Mists as that saved a bit of gold. Still account wide so may as well use a goblin for that discount.
Nah. In order to prevent that, they’ve placed the mount on a reputation/faction-less vendor. Most repair vendors in BfA are also without faction to prevent us getting discounts. Same thing with the yak.
Ah, didn’t see that vendor yet so didn’t really know about that. Which sucks as that would’ve made for an awesome discount and made that racial actually very useful for once.
Things we know for sure will become unobtainable:
Ahead of the Curve for Nya’lotha and the associated mount.
The Caravan Brutosaur mount.
Mythic +15 achievement mount.
Season 4 PvP content.
Anything else people tell you are guesses and speculation or stuff that will become more rare due to people not running the content regularly, but not unobtainable.
but how does one get 5 million gold?
You dont need to do anything before 9.0. Just enjoy the ride and the life. The ride of your life? The ride is your life.
