What to do after lvl 70?

I guess running for gear is a bit pointless now. So just wait Lich and farm gold?

PvP? Achievement prep (like reputations etc)? Professions, if You haven’t done them already? Questing, to know more about the lore of the world around You?

How about don’t play till prepatch and enjoy life? Go into the sun, maybe even meet some girls? Outside world is nice.

A lot to do! I will play Death Knight so:

  1. Get my professions to max.
  2. Get a cool flying mount (Netherwing rep farm for a month).
  3. Get a bit better gear so Northrend dungeons are a bit easier.
  4. Hunt some fun achievements.
  5. Walk around, do some quest, get some gold and enjoy rest of TBC.

  • Farm coming achievements.
  • Level alts.
  • Enjoy outdoors and summer.

Actually the better gear you get now, the easier the start of Wrath will be.

First time round I had a lucky drop on the first day of a Blue fist weapon that sold for 5 figures of gold in minutes. I put it up for an outlandish amount for buyout, and a decent bid and someone bought it.

Unsub until pre-patch/Wrath yeah

So for a few weeks then?

Yeah just farm gold and/or mats for professions, the gatekeeping of fresh geared is hard, especially on Firemaw, so there is no point in spending time to grind pre bis to get into T4 and so on. Realistically you wont be able to obtain high end gear unless you have 3-5k+ (which is better spent on epic flying) and go straight into T6 gbids.

Didn’t intend on sounding negative, but I’d focus on stocking up, as mid tier raid gear is swiftly replaced in wotlk.

Same gatekeeping is happing on Gehennas can’t even get in to dungeons and 99% of the raids are gdkp/boosts aswel.

Yup. That’s what I’d do, anyways. Sadly my sub time is ticking since I bought too many wow tokens and had to spend some of it on game time

'twas mentioned but while you can just about level and enjoy BC without flying, it gets progressively useful in WLK. I recall Northrend license being 3000 gold at 77, plus double spec for any relevant character an additional 1000.

Playing whichever 70 you have sounds nice as you can just make the most of those specs. Although I managed to get stuck as nobody does the various attunements / keys anymore. (And I would need to find massive gear upgrades for MGT normal.)

On the other hand, leveling anything around 40 to 60 is most sensible right now, given the buff. I assume WLK will come with its final XP nerf, accelerating Outland leveling by two, rendering the current buff most useless for 60+. Similarly, 1-40 was smooth enough before. With all the traveling and generally grindy quests, bumping anything in that range makes a lot of sense.

Also a lot of people returned, which means easier dungeoneering across all levels.
Whereas, as soon as WLK drops, most everyone will abandon anything below 68, except those unwilling to party and unhappy with rush hour traffic in starting zones. That said, preparing mentally for the 68-80 ride, possibly researching a bit (such as, how to access The Nexus easily).

Ultimately, it’s funny. Do a bit of everything, or do what you enjoy. I hope the menu & thoughts were useful at least. As Bigdill wrote, there isn’t enough time to properly gear up, but there is time to have some fun yet.

Well I planned anyway to level profs and Tauren alt with herb-Mining. Herb for upcoming inscription, mining for engineering.

For the first few levels yeah. Actually a waste of gold.

Dottie running GDKP’s and RMT confirmed.
