What went wrong with TBC Classic?

I’m far from a blizzard fanboy after what they did to retail and the direction WoW went

But I must say 90% of the problems are due to the modern playerbase, I mean just look at these forums "GIEF EPIC FLYING AND BOOST TO 70 PLS)… WOW TOKEN???

It’s played by people that actually don’t want to play the game and for some reason buy/boost themselves to max level > Buy gold > AFk> Raid log

Not to mention the realm stacking

People was waiting years for this, and hyped about it and look what people have done

" a bad workman blames his tools" … same for the game…

Buy gold
Buy Boosts (either before with player or shop)
Be a part of raids with GDKP
Move to a stacked realm or/and one sided realm

Anyone that does this contributes to all the problems in classic, and only you can change it… but everyone just wants a easy ride instead of a challenge / playing the game for fun…

Sure blizzard could do better banning bots etc, but there’s that many of them and new ones all the time why? Because PEOPLE keep buying GOLD play the damn game

For me…

  • Oversized servers (too few layers) at the beginning, crushing the flow of questing
  • Inability to progress outside the herd
  • Subscription - Questionable without new content, actual support, FX rates worsened and other products are cheaper per value

Resulting in taking breaks because inability to progress for one reason and then the other.

What would have been useful to me…

  • Dual spec: Being able to quest (and farm) on my dungeon specialists
  • Passive account wide LFG (questing and immersing on mage while looking for a group for my healer), preventing very many evenings of eventually doing nothing

I think the rest is just really a consequence. If I didn’t take breaks, my levels would be higher, I would have more gold, I would find and keep friends to play with, and so on. Right now, investing 2 hours per day continuously feels a must. Especially with the shortened duration.
