I have recently fallen in love with playing a Mage, it’s something I always wanted to main but was never really able to do until recently.
Cataclysm was whereabouts I hit my ability to play the game properly (git gud I know) and with the classic version on the way I thought I might finally fulfil the dream.
So I am just wondering, what were Mages like in Cataclysm?
How was their levelling? Were they popular in dungeons and raids?
What spells did they have?
Was there much self healing/defenses or will I need first aid and 50 stacks of healing pots?
If we have talents from last cata patch, then fire mages will be strong from first raid tier. as in S or A tiers dps strong.
They also get cauterize talent in cata which does this:
(You have a 100% chance that an attack which would otherwise kill you will instead bring you to 40% of your maximum health. However, you will burn for 12% of your maximum health every 1.5 sec for the next 6sec. This effect cannot occur more than once per minute.)
lol no. Arcane mages do not in fact return to top mage spec in dragon soul. They are will be good in tier 11. About on par with fire mages if we have the have the DS patch. Just like in Wrath, Arcane mages don’t scale very well.
Alright, thanks. Guess I’ll try it out in the beta. I can’t remember what any of the classes could do so maybe I’ll try them all… but fire mage is calling!
