What were the best trinkets in wow history?

This plus Rune of Reorigination from Lei Shen as well. Super broken on classes like feral druid and WW monk.

I dont really remember trinkets. I remember a trinket in TBC that spawned 3 little voodo gnomes, was from the ZA raid i think? No clue if it was good, but the voodo gnomes were fun

There is only 1 good trinket.

  1. Soulshifter Vortex from Dragon Soul
A simple trinket with flat stamina and a 3k+mastery proc in Cataclysm. In PvP, because of how many people dropped resillience for PvP gear back in S11, a couple specs with broken Masteries could oneshot others (Ret, Fury, Sin rogue, Frost DK). The trinket was so strong, that not only could you run more Resillience pieces, you also had more overall Stamina.

  2. Hand of Justice from Blackrock Depths
Flat attack power increase with a chance to proc an adittional auto attack. A strong and fun trinket all around.

  3. Deathbringer’s Will from Icecrown
Honestly I just used it for the coolies, but it’s also a super strong trinket.

  4. Essence of Pure Flame from Molten Core
A normally weak trinket but I loved how niche it was for a Thorns setup. A relic of old design.

  5. Forbidden Obsidian Claw from Nya’lotha
It’s just a great trinket for PvP, and I loved how it could scale with certain cooldowns such as Holy Avenger (30% haste buff).

On use trinkets are my bane… Our skill bar is already cluttered enough >.<

Might not have been the best trinket, but i loved https://www.wowhead.com/item=151976/riftworld-codex?bonus=3610:1472
Especially on warrior with the permanent ignore pain brought by the t2 set bonus that let you spam shield slam…

I don’t remember a lot of trinkets, but the standout ones for me were:

  • As Psjohly says, the Trillax cake trinket, because who doesn’t like cake?
  • Wrathion dragon wings trinket - it dropped for me on my birthday and I loved the wings effect
  • Fractured obsidian claw from Maut, because getting mana back is great!
  • Jade raccoon trinket from Jade Forest because I still miss you Socks the Raccoon! :raccoon:

I remember the name of the Whispers in the Dark trinket from Legion but haven’t a clue what it did - I only remember that I wanted it on my warlock.

Oh right rift world codex, it was such a cool trinket.

Maybe not the best but it was sure fun as hell, especially the AoE flame burst that healed you.

Darkmoon Card: Madness is my all-time favorite. Gonna try and get that beauty again when TBC arrives

Mechanical dragonling !

I honestly liked the 8.3 Wrathion trinket. The on-use saved me from the elevator boss, it procced a lot, and it had an awesome visual when it did. You couldn’t wear that trinket without remembering you had it.

And there was another BfA one where a little raptor shows up and serves tea to your target and heals them. Only ever seemed to be a world quest though, so never got any use out of it.

I want to say Maut’s claw but… that was more mandatory than fun. I’d much rather my class hadn’t needed external mana regen.

But basically I like trinkets you can see, and I prefer trinkets that aren’t on-use. I have enough buttons, I don’t need another cooldown to micromanage.

without a doubt Draught of Souls, that thing would DESTROY people.

That. “We have nerfed it in wpvp”. “oh did you? Just let me hit this random mob here to stack it instead and oneshot the poor guy with PvE damage”. Especially amusing during world bosses/rares if someone of the opposite faction dared to hit the mob.

The one Saurfang Dropped in ICC, dont renember the name tho.

yes that one!

the draught did not need any setup before you deleted someone tho

The draught was very easy to deal with however given its cooldown. While the soul capacitor had no internal cooldown and could chain proc several times.

Deathbringer’s will was notorious in Wrath

I honestly think I remember trinkets I hate using more than ones I enjoy xD

Mechagon trinket with the parachute deployment
I used to play a little gambling game where I flew up to lethal fall heights and dismounted to see if it would save me
ngl the game was kind of addictive
