Make a list of your favorite trinkets in wow history.
Personally i think the archimonde ones rank pretty up there considering what they did.
Prophecy of Fear, from Mannoroth in HFC. Amazing trinket, especially as Arcane Mage.
Purified Bindings from Immerseus in SoO. Was such a powerful trinket for casters, loved it.
If I could make a character based on every single item in WoW it would be a caster with those 2 trinkets.
Black blood of Y’Shaarj from SoO was very strong for Aff locks and DoT specs too. Loved the SoO trinkets.
The Archimonde trinket was cool. Can’t remember each specs version very clearly though.
I only played Mage up until BFA so caster trinkets are more relevant to me. But I definitely remember Draught of Souls being a super OP melee trinket, especially for Fury Warrior.
And then finally the most iconic trinket of Legion that everyone wanted, Unstable Arcanocrystal, a bloated stat stick.
The Skull of Gul’dan from Illidan in The Black Temple.
I remember saving all my DKP for that trinket. The visual effect was cool, the haste increase was sweet, and the lore of the item was amazing.

I hate on use trinkets, especially ones where I end up with two of them, worse yet if they don’t line up with c/d use.
I honestly don’t remember any trinket names, might have to do some digging and get back to you on details!

the old break stun trinkets from early pvp days… they should of never progressed from there…
wow would of been such a better game for it.

I also hate them, but i especially hate damage proc trinkets.
I wish they would just make either stat trinkets or trinkets that change something inside the spec like archimonde.
The problem with damage proc trinkets is that they are not as fun, and that they are independent from player skill, and usually cause big spikes in damage in like 2 seconds. So usually more difficult to balance, less fun, and generally trash.

Well, I can’t name all of them as I tend to forget gear.
But there are some that I still remember this day, which are :
-Archimonde trinket : Spec specific buff
-Galakras’ : Reducing CD on spells is always good, no matter what
-CoF : Another reducing cd trinket that got nerfed multiple times

That trinket got ninjad so many times… god bless personal loot. I lost more items to ninjas in lich king than every other expansion combined

Always loved Hand of Justice and Dragonspine Trophy just because of it’s name and Gruul was pretty awesome. Can’t really say any other trinkets stayed with me through the years memory wise. Skull of Gul’dan seemed pretty sweet too but I’ve never been a caster.
I liked the idea of the Deathbringer’s Will trinket but I hated the Taunka form you’d get sometimes.

Azsharas font of power for bfa fire mage. It was bis even next patch. And when you join pugs for azshara there were at least +10 mages

How is it fun though? I mean it’s strong. but things like archimonde trinket in my opinion are way better as they actually change something in the spec.

Just gotta love this one, even though I never got to use it because I don’t play melee.
that one in vanilla(?) that made your enemy into a chicken. They could still move around but no actions were allowed.

I like how it single handly made timers 20sec. And before the pull every mage use it at same time i find it very fun. Watch 30 mages vs nya raid :d
Unerring vision of Leishen that gave you 100% crit chance, was so cool for certain specs.
