You asked us “What would Retail need to change to feel more like Classic?” and we responded. If you can’t take the heat, no one cares. That’s the truth. Our response is simple: keep Classic out of Retail, pronto.
Class Identity !== Class Fantasy
I’d just like to chose if I want to just skill my auras or if I want to skill my heal abilities or if I totally don’t want to use my auras and just stick with damage abilites. Or maybe mix them all together? Because that’s what is missing for me when it comes to my retail characters.
Same with mages. Why can’t my mage be a frost mage while also using fireblast or scorch for faster pulls?
Transmog is by far the best addition this game has seen in years and you’re asking for it to be removed? Oh chile…

Are these really answers to my question “what would retail need to change to be more like classic?”. I didn’t asked Blizzard to change something nor did I complain about how bad Retail is. I just wondered what a combination of both would look like for other players as I played both and like both but sometimes also don’t like something in classic/retail.

Why would you want to?
Classic is its own thing. And I prefer the real version of WoW to that simulation.
I think your ideas are horrible. It would ruin WoW for me.

@Tahra as I said I’m currently playing both because a few friends play retail and can’t stand classic and the other few friends play classic so I hop between both and like/dislike different things in both games.
What exactly would ruin WoW for you? Cosmetic changes or Gameplay changes? Just wondering
Mate, you came here to the forums to discuss what you posted. We gave answers, very clear ones at that. A Classic and retail spinoff is not a good idea. You tossed up some of your ideas, we tossed up ours. It’s not our fault that you can’t comprehend it. Yes, some may seem more passive aggressive than others, but, again, learn to take the heat.

I don’t care about alts (and I dont think they should be treated equal as mains).
I like my preferred class and its identity and I don’t want it messed with too much.
I DEFINITELY would never ever want to lose transmogs.
I like the token system.
I like the cross realm system. Queueing for hours because you’re on a quiet server sucks.
Only thing I’d agree with is the equipment part.
They implemented Classic servers for a reason, so people could play whatever they prefer. Don’t get me wrong, BFA is a heap of stink, but I wouldn’t want to play anything like Classic again. Maybe Wotlk or MoP.

Removal of transmogs would be a disaster. Most people would look excactly the same, and so much gear looks just plain horrible, whats wrong with having freedom to look how you want.
If you put some sort of great knight fighter in ugly looking armor he wouldnt be a worse fighter, and vice versa.
Looks on clothes dont make a sport star better or worse. And so on.
Transmog was a great update to the game, and it will never be removed. Just some small minority playing classic wants it removed, along with flying, and anything that wasnt in vanilla.

Classic belongs to the past, its over 15 years old and it aint getting any younger.
Thats why you got Classic last summer. So people who wanna relive the past or whatever reason to play classic, can play classic, and also so Retail can stay Retail, and upgrade and change in future expansions.
If they implemented anything major from Classic into Retail, i will quit wow forever, and never come back, and for sure im not alone.
Removing transmogs? Stay in Classic and look at people in t1/t2/t3/rank14 gear all day long, but its never gonna happen in retail.
But you know you CAN chose to not wear heirlooms, you can choose to level slow af, not use flying, not use transmog, in retail, no one is forcing you. And no one is forcing you to play retail either.
Removin’ transmogs ehhh ? I still love playing in slutmog. I’m herotic paladin !

Not really since 99.99% of players use the same cookie cutter that ‘guide on google’ tells them to.
People use same talents in classic, and same talents in retail - and overall having 60 or 5 talent points has 0 difference.
You are LFR paladin, your gear does not look revealing enough.
Tbh, Classic and Retail are aimed at different types of game playing enjoyment (I play both, but Retail more than Classic) trying to mix the two probably raises more problems, than it solves.
