Just wondering as many players are tilted by rogues, including myself, so just wanted to know, within reason, what would be realistic nerfs you would love to see for rogues?
I’ll start:
Kidney changed CD to 45 seconds
Either vanish changed to 3 minute CD or remove all damage absorbtion.
Cloak and Vanish share internal 10 second CD
Evasion up to 3 minutes or remove Elusiveness
Shadow Dance CD reduce mechanics removed or make it 2 minutes with halved effect. Compensate with more non dance damage.
Change stealth back to a 6 second CD again.
These are some i can think of. However, this wouldn’t stop many from probably dying in a stun, but if you do live it gives you a chance to do something rather than them getting to reset over and over again.
These may be crap and others may have much better ideas, or maybe they are fine and I am crap, like some others. Just would be good to see some ideas.
Stealth has 10 sec duration, u pop out of it after 10 sec with 10 sec cd before u can go invis again, invisibility is not fun in any game including wow.
Sap is melee range again, u cant do an aoe spell around yourself and get sapped in the same moment(most annoying stuff ingame)
KIdney no longer then 5 seconds , Cooldown on cheap shot. not long just 5 seconds or so. they can litteraly just spam everything. reduce the energy regen of rogue a bit, or give feral druids the same energy regen. we are energy starved while rogue is full of mana 100% of the fights.
rogue can easily 1v2 , 1v3 in arena because of the cc and damage they got atm.
but its blizzards favorite class. look at DF atm were they are already broken as hell. my prediction will be 50% rogue’s in arena’s so ill be going guardian druid again if needed to counter it.
What problem would this solve? Putting all questions of balance aside, this would at the current iteration of the class make the play experience way worse and add no benefit in my mind.
well if you want to go back to the time where rogue just had cp on one target and couldnt get them the same time on others, do we want to implement the spellpushback from tbc so everyone can have a horrible gameplay expirience?^^
jokes aside. Dont think changes as such are needed. Or maybe with a sort of redirection ability to put a bit effort into it. But then youd need to do that for feral druid aswell.
It is a pretty difficult question when the three specs are different.
The one certain things that needs to go class-wide is Cloaked in the Shadows. And Kidney should be capped at 6s in PvP combat, no question.
Subtlety needs an obvious damage nerf on Eviscerate, as well as less Shadowdance uptime/reset so that they don’t automatically have a dance every single DR without having to ever reset. They could maybe have a dance every DR if that forced them to fight and attack to reset instead of being able to run in circles for the entire DR and still have dance anyway.
Outlaw just needs Restless Blades on 0.5s instead of 1s and/or Vanish not on the Restless Blades list. Just changing this would be extremely huge.
Assa … while many people complain about Sepsis the superior spec right now is Necrolord by extremely far when you don’t play at low/very low rating. Looking at the best version of Assa, so Necro, vs Outlaw, the closest comparable spec, it is a worse version in every single aspect except for the fact that it suffers less from lack of uptime if and when DoTa are running. I’d see where the Outlaw changes lead, and act on Assassination accordingly. But it makes no sense to change something that is just a pure downgrade of something else before you’ve decided where the upgraded version should stand. All that knowing that Necro Assa would be nerfed by a 6s cap on Kidney as it actually benefits a ton from the 7s Kidney.
You missed the point entirely. Not sure if that’s intentional out of spite or you just can’t put a finger on the reasoning.
Even if they would net buff rogue class by giving it broken levels of damage in exchange for target specific combo points, the class would still be donkeydoodoo to play.
I could also say that how a player who doesn’t personally play the class can’t have the ability to understand how bad idea this would be. Again, are you just avoiding the question, because in my mind this isn’t just some tuning knob that should be turned.
You opted for half a** rogue gameplay by picking feral. No, your gameplay will probably never be as smooth as rogue, because you have million of other things on top of that like healing, cc, tanking on demand and such. And if you say you are energy starved and dont like it, maybe not suggesting other classes to get on this level and instead ask for better rotation or something for you. There is nothing more boring than being starved on resources and not being able to do anything.

Assa little dmg or ms effect nerf so they cant tunel war to deff
I think your suggestion would be one of, if not the biggest nerf a class will ever have (except perhaps the dispel change but that was a blanket change).
