So I’m going to end up boosting a character since fresh servers probably won’t come out anytime soon. Any populated server which isn’t pve, which is horde-favored, where the community is good and active, and where people don’t bash others because they boosted a toon?
Trust me I don’t want to boost, but I don’t have a choice soooo…I would have clearly preferred a fresh tbc server.

There is no way to answer this because noone knows all their realms players.
You could be on the friendliest server and just run into that one guy doing an instant spit and your perception would be skewed.
And it’s most definitely not too late to level.

You can try to make sure you will not draw any attention until you can replace all the communal gear.
If you paid extra for the mount etc and you use it however, there is no saving you.
By like 61 you will have replaced all the crappy boosted gear and noone will be able to tell you boosted unless you ride around on that goofy mount.

Perhaps spend less time forum warrioring and more time levelling and you’d be in your 60’s by now…
