What's happened to CurseForge website?

I’ve been manually updating my AddOns recently. I don’t want yet another application to manage them, these apps keep coming and going and doing weird stuff. I just want to go to the website and download a file and stick it in a folder. Clean and simple.

When I try this today all I can find is an Install option which suggests installing the CurseForge App before I can do anything else.

Is there still a download a zip file option there somewhere I’m just not seeing?
If not, is there somewhere else I can do this?
Or is there a nice simple non-spyware tool that will allow me to manage my AddOns?

The Curseforge Alpha version is a standalone app, works fine for me. You have to select more download options to get to it.

The other popular one if you are looking for an alternative is WoWUp I believe.

Thanks Puny. I’ll bare those in mind.

Although I found this:
legacy[.]curseforge[.]com

And this does still have the Download the Zip file options and it seems to still be pointing towards the latest version of the AddOn. So this will suit me for now, although who knows how long a legacy site will remain available.

Next to the install-button you got an arrow. Which opens a menu with the direct download link. I had to search myself also a bit but it is there

Thanks. I’ll poke around a bit more.
I just find that websites are getting less and less intuitive over the years. I think it’s something to do with making them work better on touch-screens for tablets and phones.

They at least are promoting the app a lot. When you click the download file link you get the download page (automatically start downloading like before) with the text “Still downloading manual???”

I too recently removed their app. My antivirus does not like it and I trust my antivirus. If you click the down arrow next to the install button it should give you a a drop down that lets you pick install manually. Comes with a sarcastic comment about doing it manually

I found it yesterday after the above comments said it was still there.
Websites now have these little down arrows or three little dots often placed in odd locations. I’m just too old school and still look for actual buttons or links.

lol welcome to nearing the silver era
