Am older in age. I forget stuff, you know it just slips away. So I like to use Weak auras and add ons a lot.
I play number of alts and want to know if there is an add on or weak aura that flags up your BIS item when it drops. Rather than having to go back to wowhead or whichever resource you use to check.

depends on if you are doing raids or m+ for what is bis, as the list will be different for both on most specs

You have alts to do higher content than your main?
During Legion our guild used an addon but you have to input all your bis first. I did a quick google and there is something similar available:-

As an older person myself I totally get the OP’s issue.
My solution is to write down where my BiS trinkets/rings drop for my toons and work on getting the M+ ones first and Raid switches second.
For equipment generally you’d need to fill most slots before considering BiS, if you are at that stage and now filling BiS slots then keep the wowhead/icy page open and if you get a drop a quick flick will tell you whether it’s BiS or whether it’s up for rolls from other people. Don’t be rushed in either, check and take your time if unsure.
For instance, Mists drops me a trinket I want and de Other Side drops a ring so I have that written down beside me, so if they drop within the group I can ask or roll for it if it ever drops.
