What's the best class to roleplay a blademaster and a shadow hunter?

I’d like to play an orc but I’m not sure if a warrior or a monk would be better to roleplay a blademaster.
I’d also like to roleplay a troll shadowhunter but I’m not sure if rogue, hunter or warrior would be better.

Blademaster and monk ? Only real Mag har Warrior can be Blademasters;-p

Monk for Blademaster. 100%.
Especially when 2h WW comes back in SL.

Blademaster is closer to a Warrior lore wise I suppose, but the iconic part of a Blademaster is the mirror images, which Monk has.

Shadow hunter is a bit awkward. Nothing fits them.
It’s a melee shadow priest of sorts. Sub rogue could be the best bet.

For Blademaster I would say orc warrior, since they cover all but the mirror image.

For Shadowhunter I would suggest troll shammy enchancement with the blade like fists from gun desk and the toy from Drustvar that makes you all shadowy

I agree with Verngard above; Orc warrior is probably best for Blademaster and Troll Shaman is probablys best for Shadowhunter

Monk are you guys crazy? Arms warrior! They even have signature move!

For the Troll I would pick hunter because you can use both a both and melee weapons, and also that talent that makes you stealth for 1 minute. Although, I think rogues can equip bows? Not too sure.

Mechagnome arms warrior, with engineering and alchemy. This way you have the mirror image and invisibility.
Also use this for an orc race part:

It depends what you consider the signature. Bladestorm was their ult but they are way more iconic for mirror images and windwalking. Leather also is closer to the samurai style.

That being said, i agree warrior. Monks great in theory but they have the dealbreaker of not attacking with their weapon and instead punhing and kicking. Kinda ruins the BLADEmaster aesthetic imo

Eh?
The signature move is the mirror images.

Google blade master and tell me what you see.
Do you see a warrior glad in plate armor? No. You see a topless Orc in light clothing with monk prayer beads around their neck, ready to dance circles around you.

The only reason Blademasters were tired to Warriors is because Monks didn’t exist and they swing a sword. They had nothing else to tie them to at the time of their conception.

Take away the sword and you’re left with some ripped topless Orc in light pants and sandals.

Like seriously, look at this dude:

Literally Asian / Monk themed. Has the samurai looking armor on the pants, the prayer bears, and those wooden sandal things. Even all his skins in HoTS is Asian / Monk themed.

Monk is written all over his face. I mean, his name is even Samuro… samurai…? It’s so obvious.

Now remind me did he summoned tiger or maybe spined with his foot? Or maybe tried to punch others while having his sword?

Warrior for BM. Mog off most pieces of armour and you’re fine. Fact is monks don’t fight using their weapons which totally kills the BM vibe. Arms also has Bladestorm.

Troll shaman for shadowhunter. Shadow Hunters have several common abilities with Shaman: Hex, Chain Heal, Serpent Ward (Searing Totem), the only thing Shaman really misses is using bows. The rest they have, and shadow hunters use melee or ranged weapons so it’s not a huge deal.

Rogues can’t cast spells - shadow hunters can. This is a big issue.
Hunters can’t cast spells - shadow hunters can. same as above.
Priests can’t fight in melee or ranged with weapons, relying entirely on spells, this doesn’t suit the SH thematic despite the fact SHs get SW:P.

SHs are closest to a Shaman with a few “bolt on” spells like pets, SW:P and stealth. The other classes lack more than the shaman does in terms of thematics.
