I’ve been wondering for a while. Is Twilight Devastation rank 3-4 + Double ra-den weapon and 1 rank 3 expedient the best setup for a DH Havoc in M+ or should I go for 2-3 expedient rank 3 + 2-3 versatility rank 3 with double ra-den weapon?
With my current gear TD seems to sim better by a fair bit ( ~4-5k more dps with same corruption levels ) but that’s using the " dungeon slice " on raidbots and I don’t know if that’s the most reliable tool when it comes to simming dps in M+.
Im currently ilvl 473-475 depending on what I wear and im clearing 17-18+ keys as of now trying to push to a 20 being my main goal ( Which I think I am more than capable off but with everyone being a raiderio wh*re I have to slowly grind my score because apparently 2.2k just aint cutting it to get accepted in 18+ ) if that’s any help.
Also is Fel Barrage a better option than trail of ruins for M+? Seems like a lot of the high end havoc DH uses it in 25+ keys.
Currently I switched from TD 3 to versatile and I am happy with that.
It is usefull for big keys where 20% dmg reduction matters. Your overall DPS might be sligtly lower, but also higher - depending on your luck or survivalbility.
Twillight Devastation is too much random for me. Sometimes it procs into big pull, sometimes only into a single mob. And sometimes it procs so early that it kills you, or it pulls another trash pack (hello Tol´dagor).
Besides that you generally want to start with 2 fists from Raden, rank 1 inefftable truth.
The decision between td III or 4x versatile III is up to you. If you are running high tyrannical keys, I definitely recommend going for vers. The rest of your corruption budget could be filled with expedient or avoidant… (you want to be as close to 59 as possible)
Trail of ruin is always the better option, unless you coordinate pulls with your tank through voice chat to make the best use of it.
Might consider getting a gear setup with versatile III then. Especialy since it probably could be used much more efficiently in PvP arena than one with TD 3.
