Whats the deal with gearing this season?

I’v watched some videos on this but dont seem to fully understand things. Ok so you have your conquest points earned weekly, And the quest for the wepon on top of that.

Its the crafted stuff i dont seem to get, Im seeing people on the armory who are mostly 639 pvp geared through crafted items. I see you can buy recipes with 7500 honor from the vendor but they only give like 528 pvp ilvl gear. Do you use expensive items to upgrade the quality of them to epical ? And also im guessing these guys who are like mostly 639 have spent serious bank on getting them ? This whole system is a tad confusing

you need 4 fractured sparks to craft pvp gear, so unless theyre getting 20+ of those per week somehow I dont think thats possible

you don‘t need any sparks for pvp gear. All you need are the heraldries for conquest of which 9 were gifted if you played a few games
