Hey, wasn’t sure where to post this so posted here.
I have a level 70 druid alt and I want to get the tier 2 set transmog set. What do you reckon the earliest I can start doing solo runs there as I can’t wait to get it started.
I have an experience trying to solo Coilfang Reservoir with my 80 and a bit Paladin (can’t remember the exact level I was on) and it didn’t really go that well, got stuck at one of the bosses and only tried again when I was roughly 100.
I haven’t looked at this since Legion, when someone asked a similar question and I went looking at level 60 raids.
It was faceroll easy for my level 80 (I really should do something with him) baby Paladin, so I imagine something in the mid-70s would be do-able for most classes. A Druid could go Bear, ofc, which makes it much more practical. (AFAIR, the Slow Room doesn’t take effect if you’re in stealth, at least on a Rogue, so try it in Cat Form.)
The Legacy Buff kicks in 11 levels above, so I wouldn’t bother trying below 71.
If you want a run through today to get the lockout, I’m just on my way out right now, but I’ll be back later. Let me know if you want my Druid (so I can funnel loot to you) to do a quick runthrough with you.
P.S. On the PTR, soloing old raids is much more difficult at the moment. Whethet this is a matter of tuning, or adjusting the Legacy Buff, or whatever I don’t know, but expect pre-patch to throw a wrench into it.
Nah I’ll pass thanks for offering though. I’d rather play my own pace than try to force a run today just because lockout.
I prefer immersion over efficiency so I’ll probably just go level up doing Cenarion Expedition quests.
Maybe I’ll try around level 75-77 or so to see if it works.

Raids usually 10 lv + ABOVE requierment is the earliest solo run possible. (Might consider Mechanics still though) So if you go for a lv 60 raid it’s 70/71+ for the lv 80 ones it would be 90/91 and so on.
Make sure you got the right gear for your level to kill trash and boss monster faster.
It would not be easy at 10 levels, 11 is where the legacy buff kicks in to make it easy.
Just one thing I want to add.
At 71-79 lvl Vaelastrasz the Corrupt can still apply Burning Adrenaline, Fire Nova and Flame Breath (45 sec into fight i think ?!), which can kill you I think.
So, again I believe level 80 is actually first ‘‘safe’’ level to counter this boss.
Still doable with lvl 77 but you need your dps gear to be at least item level 105 or something
Good point! I just tried again with my (still 80!) Paladin, and failed this time. I got Vael down to about 20% before Burning Adrenaline finished me.
I solo’d it today with my now level 82 Druid. Razorgore and Chromaggus mechanics were kinda annoying to figure out but the rest was pretty easy.
Prowl stealth indeed prevents the slow.
Got chest and helm pieces from Nefarion, was unlucky with the rest of the bosses. I hope to get more lucky next week.
