Darkglare used to be good in PVE when you could stack 5 ua and get extended duration on all of them and they also gave 50% more damage to darkglare, but now that you can only cast 1 ua and it doesnt cost anything anymore, I think darkglare needs a rework.
Extending the dots duration is pretty useless now, and the damage it does is very low to justify a 3min cd. Maybe replace it with dark soul baseline?

This would be a lot better tbh, and we could get a talent on the last row that isn’t dispellable in PvP.
Also I think the Darkglare looks incredibly stupid, it’s just a floating tentacled eyeball going BLARGHABALRHBLARBHL and doesn’t really fit the image of a creepy, decrepit shadow caster who drains life force from their enemies.

I can say only that Darkglare has a reduced effectiveness the way SL AFF works, but it doesn’t mean its useles.
In a multi-target scenario (5+ targets) when you have spread a lot of agonies, taint, etc, when you pop your darkglare it extends them all, meaning you get a longer window to dump shards into Malefic rapture, resulting in less GCD to reapply dots and equalling more damage overall. In single target it extends your PS so you can squeeze in 1-2 malefic casts as well. Not so much impact on ST as on multi-target, but it isn’t useless, it’s just worse than in BFA

It was perfect as demonology and why the hell is demo the only spec without darksoul now
I’d certainly welcome Dark Soul over any of the end talents atm. Consumption is boring because I don’t want all my damage to come from the tyrant.
Nether Portal is just straight up bad.
And I legit don’t even remember the last one, that’s how little of an impact it’s made on me.

Probably because they realised that every spec had an ‘iconic’ Demon summon, except for Affliction.
I say Iconic, but only the Infernal is really such. Darkglare and Tyrant are both newcomers, and Darkglare is inherently pretty derpy looking. If they really wanted an ‘Iconic’ demon, then giving Demonology a Pitlord and Affliction a Nathrezim would have been for the best. Heck, give Demonology Doomguard as well. Let their spec be about keeping up a few major summons rather than throwing exploding midgets and dogs at people.
