What's the point of Twisting Corridors

No. Not one bit.

I cannot talk about others. I did it for: a) the achievements, b) the mount, c) I found it relaxing.

Got to admit when Torghast came out I struggled a bit as hadn’t really learned to play my class properly and was pushing high levels without high ilvl gears- one bad choice of anima solo and that could make the difference between pass/fail on final boss.
Now much more comfortable with it (and also mostly run in groups) and happy to help guildies do their achievement runs too, as it’s a blast once you get past the first couple of levels in each layer and start getting anima boosted.
If you’re not enjoying it, then don’t try it solo- grab a decent team and it’s much more fun.

Oh and don’t be like one guy we had last night (not a guildie) in a layer 1 Twisting who refused to grab HP buffs but kept telling us all to buy more lives as he ate 12 of them leaving us 2 on the final boss- so if we had a wipe we were going to be stuffed.

If in doubt, grab the HP buff every time, or the 5% heal on skills, and make the run easier.

The 5% HP decrease for massive damage gain can be interesting on ranged class- we had a mage reach 18th floor on 12.5k HP and had a blast on final boss in layer 8 twisting- talk about melting!!

Agree. Had this last night on my solo attempt on layer 7 first time as ret.

Powers weren’t as good as prior runs granted, but i had a few core ones sure. The issue was I went into the final boss with only 1 life left because I had been playing terrible on floor 17 and had a few deaths because I simply wasn’t paying attention was was busy YOLOing because it had worked for every floor prior (and it was getting late and I wanted to get to bed!).

The price I paid was having one shot at the boss, I got him to 50% but he got me. Usually this would be where i’d go “okay, now do it properly and pay attention, no YOLO” but i didn’t have that chance.

It’s just how it is, I should played more carefully.

Its a slow grind where on later floors more often than not you will realise all the time you put in is wasted because you didnt get some key powers.

RNG is literally the only thing that stands between making it impossible and trivial.

why not allow us gett revords if we fail in Torgast ? if u spend hours in there just to fail no revords ? so no point in trying … trying needs to be rewording not only winning …

Just get a monk, brewmaster spec. I had no problem in TC with only 181 ilvl. Basically al you need need: Corrosive Dosage x5, Tumbling Rollstone x3, Ever-Tumbling Stone, Grandmaster’s Gift, 36 Pressure Point Technique x5, Deathtouched Brew, hp and dps powers(like Soulward Clasp - was a great dps boost). I cleared 1-3 layers with BM and it was not enjoyable, 4-8 with monk easily, powers are easily accessible, I did not wipe a single time.

Monk ?
MM hunter better !

see no gear at all

It is much longer and you should roll specific epic powers, that is RNG, while with monk you do not even need epic powers and build is accessible every run.

i never play melee classes they so slow u have to run up to ur targets …

My point is that with a fresh monk you can without/with minimal RNG clear TC.

for now to the nerfs comes in 9.1.0
