So i have to ask the community what they think the real reason behind the new race/class combo not being able to xmog in Dragon form… also dragons riding dragons … they can fly so why not just …fly
Is it just lazy devs, or is there something more to it.
The real reason I saw, that they have the customizations with the armors, like chestpiece, gloves, belt and helm
And a cloak would be a problem by having wings?
Even I see a problem they can’t wear pants in Dracthyr form
It’s a unique class flavour thing. You have mog in your visage form in dragon form you have dragon armour. It makes sense imo
There’s no real reason they can’t have boots, leg and chest armour.
the real reason is Simple.
Their models would clip horrifically with gear that exists in the game as armours built on the human model and not on animalistic.
This is the reason.
If they were to design a model that would function with all the various gear types this game has accumulated since 2004, they’d likely end up with a very constrained and also not very dragon-like model.
IMO I am okay with the way dracthyr are designed. They gave us visages to go back to automatically (unlike for Worgen) if your tmog is really that important.
Cheap executives who do not want to spend the, probably considerable amount of, money to adapt all existing items to Dracthyr.
I guess because a lot of slots wouldn’t work anyway (cloaks, helmets, gloves) and to give us the option to wear no armor because that’s a thing too with dragons.
I’m assuming because the expansion had to be released by xmas.
No real reason. Just a massive cop-out to avoid development time.
Having customization for chest pieces in the barber shop is no excuse. There’s literally like 3 different pieces, and none of the colours really match any shoulders or belt transmogs in most cases.
All the concept art, including their tier sets shows them in full armor in and out of dragon form.
It was just to cut corners, and it’s a massive shame.
Whats the real reason behined Drakthyr having no xmog?
It wasn’t cost-effective.
Basically, a group of corporate pseudo RPG developers decided that it’s way cheaper to do just the visage mode, and automatically recycle existing transmog rather than actually hire more staff and do Drakthyr transmog properly.
You know the multibillion dollar indie company needs to watch where they spend money cuz they can go bankrupt

Funny enough, both look terrible in most gear. Lol… well done pointing out where blizzard learnt from their mistakes. Lol
yup, Im sure its the clipping issue.
At least they can wear tabards though so if you have a good variety you can do a few interesting mogs and you and p1mp out your visage form however you like.
