Do it when you want to, if not don’t and wait for a possible Remix.
One thing i dont understand really is why have both classic and now remix.
Why not just make mounts and toys earned from classic link over to retail?
More people would then play classic and there wouldnt be no need for remix anymore.
Classic is reliving the expansion as it was. It’s the levelling, end game, abilities, builds everything as it was back then. So it’s the whole old skool experience.
Remix is Retail in an isolated MoP setting (in this instance) using not only Retail builds and abilities but with a load of overpowered gems that do crazy stuff. It’s easy mode for everyone. You can do any raid up to and including mythic because it’s a nice friendly mode for all.
I get that, but to me the fact the items you obtain transfers to your retail account makes it no different to if classic did the same.
It would give people at least the option of obtaining them legit if they wanted to.
Call mt old fashioned but i dont like remix i see it as a cheat way to get things , 100% feeding off of peoples FOMO
Classic is Classic, makes no sense to be connected to your Retail in any way. Not to mention all the removed items people would want to go and farm to import to Retail.
Remix is just fun, Classic is the old retro game. Plunderstorm is a BR set in a WoW setting.
I would argue remix is taking away the time and dedication people spent farming mounts when they were relevant and making it look trivial.
They should imo at least mark the item somehow in retail so people can see it was obtained in remix
As a farmer I already had all the mounts, I just bought the new recolour ones.
The big bronzed farm was every single armor set, class set and the few Garrosh heirloom weapons I didn’t have. I already had his shoulders.
Kind of surprised there wasent more of a uproar about it.
But i guess retail is so watered down now.
Starting with TCG rewards as subscription bonuses etc.
That it is just considered the norm now.
To me personally though, wow loses alot if its personality everytime it pulls things like this.
I don’t feel the need to gatekeep old pixels. Why can’t everyone enjoy them?
They’d already increased the drop rate of the world boss mounts after the Evoker snaffoo
It isnt really about gate keeping , more so about respecting peoples time.
Some people quite literally spent years obtaining some of those mounts which you can now buy in a matter of days.
I guess the lesson to learn here is nothing is worth farming in this game anymore because sooner or later a easier option to get them will come along.
I don’t feel my time is disrespected because I have been playing longer. The prestige of any of those items is long gone. I don’t feel I need to keep other people from being able to get them.
I got the love rocket when you still had to farm on an army of alts daily and it was horrendous. I’m glad they change practices. I’m glad they improve things to better respect players time.
Just different outlooks
I guess it is and i should imagine there is plenty of people behind both ways of looking at it.
If you like how it is fair play to you.
It’s not my cup of tea though
Anywsy time to sleep
NO. The lesson to learn here is do the things you enjoy regardless of rewards. Its a game.
So if you enjoy the aspect of collecting things, just enjoy it as it is. Nothing to envie from other people.
Ehm, because I want it NOW, and not in 2,4,6,8,10 years?
No offense, but then why even PLAY at all, if it´s all going to remixed eventually and you can “just buy it when the remixes come out”, instead of slogging through a retail raid for hours until everyone has understood the bosses and they die?
The first character I leveled in Remix (the one I’m posting on right now), I did the campaign with. I wanted the full MoP experience.
But for all the others I spammed dungeons, scenarios and raids to level up.
I clocked off all the achies for funzies even though they are just feats.
Ah yeah, I just did the ones I needed for the stuff I wanted. I’ve never been an achievement lover, so I don’t do them unless there’s a reward attached that I want.
I think that’s what’s nice about Remix. Just play it in whatever way you prefer.
The whole game should be that way.
And it IS more that way slowly but surely.
To be clear: I’m talking about the ‘play in whatever way you prefer’. Not the mechanics of Remix.
I think Remix is very noob friendly though.
