Not really.
While the Legion’s version may look worse, it’s important not to forget that all Legendaries were disabled in PvP during the expansion.

It’s useful in bg’s, mostly twin peaks for cheesing the flag underneath their keep to stall some time
Was kinda thinking that crazy kneel dont think pala’s do. But most of the farsight eagle eye type things have been pretty pointless for years
Literally makes no sense
it’s a spell now.
it could be useful if the game had any open world pvp content or like a big pvp area where you communicate with your team , shamans (and hunters ) could use their abilities for scouting
people use that in wotlk to pull some adds in raids but i guess it’s useless in retail now
It’s good for PvP. Calling positions etc. Same with shammy totem, warlocks eye, eyes of the beast etc.
Back during SL I used it on my warlock during the countdown to start the key. That meant I did not have to re-summon my pet when the key started, but it de-summoned Eye of Kilrogg instead.
For me, Convoke, Cyclone on Feral druid has always been really weird and wonky.
The fact that Convoke requires so much setup without having the utility to set it up really makes my pretty head confused.
The fact that your burst as a melee is an interruptable cast too.
Same reason for Cyclone- its clunky, you have to cast it but my favorite is that you have to get out of form and cast it and the fact that they added a talent that puts you back in cat form is hilarious to me when they could simply make it castable in forms, would also add up to the lack of defensives in bear form.
Like, what.
A spell is not useless just because its use is not combat.
As long as it doesn’t take up keybinds I’m entirely fine with it. I don’t really want to hear about how a druid spell that just causes some trees and flowers to grow is useless. It’s fun! Like that Furbolg language. So happy that exists.
And Water Breathing could be a lot more useful if Blizzard actually reintroduced the breath meter as something meaningful and out some stuff down there… It doesn’t have to be useless.
I would rather they remove all these spells that just cause inconvenience constantly but are technically not useless. I’d rather have Teleport Old Dalaran than Rune of Power, catch my drift?
Complaining about these “useless spells” is like complaining about toys. There’s no problem here. Just ignore it or have some fun.
Clearly the winner! So many random spell combo’s, Resto druid with iceblock for example!
UD warlocks would probably disagree about the water breathing passive and want it changed.
When we are talking about bloat. It’s bloat in combat abilities. Neither of which you linked are.
The ‘‘White Tiger Statue’’ in the monk tree… at least let me move the position on it…
I just find all the class related spells that do nothing kinda funny.
Paladin with the contemplate where you just kneel and ‘‘focus on the light’’
Eyes of the beast on hunter was something i couldnt get enough of in vanila (not classic) on my hunter tho, felt like i was my tiger. So i constantly was playing around with it, but wasnt really leveling because of it.
And i think all classes have some sort of useless spell but somehow i find myself using them from time to time
On heroic Horridon in ToT everyone gets fixated by an unkillable add that nonetheless gets knocked back if the player hits the add with something. Our holy paladins were delighted to learn that taunting it works, given that taunt is off the GCD. Our raid leader was not so delighted when they both accidentally taunted the boss and died.
Mana Shield is a pretty great one. Although it can be useful, often times it would be a defensive that would cause you to run OOM, thus not allowing you to kill your enemy either way and dying.
It had its uses, but you had to be pretty clever about it.
You reminded me of an old saying: Mages would be the most overpowered class if we could cast Mana Shield on enemies and Polymorph on allies.
Mages have a lot of skills that would absolutely devastate enemies but cannot be used on them. It’s kind of annoying really.
Imagine being able to cast Alter Time on an enemy, he heals, and you reset him to 10% HP :'D
