“Dogs!” somebody types in BG chat when their team is losing. “Guild X” is dog water guild dont join them" etc.
I don’t remember seeing these types of insults back in like original tbc-wrath. Did europeans suddenly start hating dogs or something?

Maybe the WoW community is slowly becoming like the LoL community. Every non premade team has at least a few toxic boys.
Nah, I think that with today’s ‘im offended’ climate, people are playing it safe. Can’t /spit someone anymore either

Dog-related insults goes way back in time. I think using them more in WoW is just a way of not insulting the Woke snowflakes.

And “I like dogs, they are nice”
I sometimes write “ bunch of clowns “ or “ rats” when getting destroyed in bg,s but never dog. Dogs are cute.
But it’s true though , I got insulted by someone after calling him a rat he said I’m an “ animal dog”

I was just about to write that in some cultures dogs arent as appreciated as within Europe and other parts of the world.
My insults lean towards calling people Horses and Cows … even tho they are great animals ^^
Try reading some insults from 17 century England. Dogs, poop and pee all over 
History is just circular this way.
Oh I’ve read industrial, renaissance and medieval insults. But by far my favourite are the ones on the wall of Pompeii.

People have always insulted their teammates when they lost, though back in the day it was more about ascribing a certain sexual orientation to their teammates.
As people don’t like to get banned, they have to come up with something new.
