I’m a vanilla player, started playing again for DF.
But what the hell… this game is ruined…
What’s fun about dungeons now?
You litterly need 0 skill to run dungeons
When i say run, i mean run…
What’s up with racing trough dungeons?
I made an evoker because i was always good at healing and loved it… But healing or anything in dungeons has become boring as hell…
There’s no joy or challenge at all anymore
Nobody appreciate a good healer, they don’t even care or wait for you…
Your basicly in a group of braindead zombies repeating the same thing all day untill they probably fall asleep…
I could littery just auto attack with my DH and nobody would know it (if they don’t have dps meter)
-World quests, bosses, hunts, etc etc…
Long story short, i could just hit the boss or enemy 1 time and get the reward for killing him once the others killed him…
Where’s the challenge?
-Gearing up
5 minutes quests giving better or almost better gear than heroic gear?
I still can’t figure out how to find the best gear for me atm… there’s no sets, cant seem to find gear with sockets , etc etc…
Is it even worth doing mythics??
Everything is very confusing, not really organized but feel’s like a game for 12 years old at the same time…
And proffesions…
What’s the use??
Lower quality stuff costing more than higher quality.
Materials to craft something costing 3 or 4 times the price of the thing you actually wanna craft… just buy on AH then… dont even know why i chose proffesions.
I think everybody has his own herbs or mines on the map? (Could be wrong, but if it is… That’s the reason why nothing is “rare” anymore)
-Auction house
Won’t even explain, total garbage atm and destroying the whole game economics…
I mean,
Did they give up on this game or are other people running this game now?
The normal dungeons are supposed to be easy. To help people gear up. The only hard normal dungeon I can think of was dire Maul. That was a mess as a healer. But it was hilarious too.
The expansion came out few days ago, just wait a bit for M+ and raid and you’re gonna get your challenge. This week is easy so everyone can chill while leveling and not tryhard to 70 in one day to not fall behind. Just enjoy the story and the zone and you’re gonna get ur challenge.
Also if it was hard from beggining you wouldn’t even have a chance to check out boss abilities etc. and plan out your strats for M+.
Most of what you’ve mentioned is actually what I LIKE about WoW compared to how it was back in the day.
Also: Season 1 hasn’t started so the gearing for people who participate in RPvP, M+ and raiding hasn’t really begun yet. If you’re looking for harder dungeons, try M+ then.
Haha, a ‘vanilla’ player lecturing how easy and non-challenging DF is
I hope you were drunk when you wrote that wall of nonsense, because if you weren’t, you actually have no excuses that you are not the brightest chopstick in the drawer
Exactly what I wanted to write - now that you did, I’m just gonna quote you
Mythic+ exists soon. Normal is for leveling, HC is to get to grips with basic mechanics, Mythic is full mechanics, and Mythic+ is where you can start using your big brain.
It’s both parts of the same coin.
If something is a chore instead of challenge, then you want to have it done as fast as possible.
If it’s a challenge or a journey, then you tend to enjoy it.
It is not really. As far as the skill requirements, getting stuff done exttra fast with least effort and so forth… Thats all for us older people. Well at least for those who claim thgat they dont have time to waste because job, family or whatever reason they have.
I guess same goes for being social and caring about other players and apreciating them. People are in too much of a hurry to do any socialising. In LFD dungeons and such, other players are just tools to get leveling done fast or get some gear maybe.
I stopped doing dungeons in Cataclysm. Doing dungeons was fun back in WOTLK when i started. I did healing or tanking all the time and it was fun. Only problem back then was people requiring an obscure gear score which actually had no meaning regarding skill. It seemed some people who thought a bit too much of their importance thought that getting feel of power from inspecting peoples gear worthiness before accepting them to rtaids or Dungeons. Still we did extra well when we got to party with people who knew how to play but did not care too much about gear. just that it was understandably decent for the difficuklty.
Then came the LDF automation and that slowly turned everything bad. People started caring and apreciating people less and less over time. Today it is in the place where if you take a wrong turn and die, you are kicked when at old times you were resurrected and we talked and carried on to finish the content. That tool also made world empty since easy living isd human nature and people want to level easy so they do the mindless dungeons run and thats it.
Back in time i was even getting to raids a new player but because people turned more and more hostile, i left that too and never touched them in groups again. Theres too much elitism now in that area.
Now i only solo them on a level i can do it for the story.
In many other areas though, i think the game has been going better and better over time but the social aspects just seem to go worse and worse. I really wish people here would be as caring and fine as they are in GW2 or ESO. There are good people here too though, i just wanted to say this too so trhat they know they have been noticed if they read this.
Bruh. Just because you don’t enjoy the game right now doesn’t mean it’s bad.
The game is more challenging than ever. DF dungeons have more mechanics than WOTLK raids(you can just go and try doing naxx on classic to see how easy it is) won’t be much harder with upcoming patches either. Sindragosa’s tomb phase is a dungeon mechanic here and even on m0 people die . if you want to enjoy the game on a more casual style , you still can. Normal raids an normal dungeons are for you, you can join a guild. Things took way too long to do back then but they were not harder, just longer and more boring(imo) another example is leveling. Game has more challenges and also more casual friendly than it used to be.
i reallly want blizzard to release a current wow server with no m+ . the whole experience is so out of whack, you got norms and heroics and people just questing getting steam rolled all over the place the gear gap is huge already.
Well… Its partially true but i would say more challenging than it has been for some time no matter the content, but still its not a big challenge or i have been playing too muc GW2. In any case getting a go at Classics from the level 1 characters, its not even that challenging now.
