Dwarf for the Dwarven Rifleman fantasy from WC3.
Too bad the hero talents of War Within had only a BM and two elf options. Sentinels are straight up Night Elves and Dark Rangers have always been elf forsaken with the exception of a single human.
I hope they support a bit more this class fantasy in the future.
Human survival hunter
Alliance side here, my Beast Master is my main character since Shadowlands S2.
I’ve swithched through all the races (using race change tokens) to try and test various things (I have Engineering, I thought the +5 to the trade skill from the Gnomes would make a difference for DF crafting, but it does not : even with that +5, I’m 17 points short for the hardest crafts, 22 without that bonus, and the “Clairvoyances” give a +30).
I’ve come back to the Human, because that Diplomacy passive racial is EXTREMELY powerful when everything is locked behind a reputation wall : +10% to all rep gains, stackable with Darkmoon and other recurring bonii, means I’m flying very quickly to max rep everywhere, which in turns unlocks the “favoured ally” for all my other characters.
The active that removes stuns is also very useful, but more on the PvP side (quite rare to get stunned in M+ content), and that nifty little thing where you get more points on all four Secondary Stats allow me to push out a % or two on some things (most notable the Tepid Versa flask, with every other race it gives me 4%, with the human it goes to 5%).
Dark Iron Dwarf master race. Indoor 4% zoomies are nice for solo farming, Fireblood is amazing “get this off me” button which is giga useful both in pve and pvp, and Mole Machines combined with all the hearthstones and engi portals give you ultimate traveling experience.
Also, burning drunk hobo with a shotgun and ugly pet messing around – top tier RP right there.
