What's with Exploring Azeroth: Northrend?

In this book, Magni, Brann, and Muradin wander through Northrend to provide us with an “updated” version of the continent.

However, according to the latest Pre-Patch lore, Magni has not left the Chamber of Heart since BFA, meaning he could not have made this trip with his brothers. Could we possibly get confirmation on whether the book is still considered canon or if it has (partially?) been retconned?

When in doubt, assume a lack of quality control rather than a deliberate retcon. You can, of course, wish that the devs would clarify, but I really wouldn’t hold my breath. Is there some reason this little contradiction is of special interest do do? Seems relatively innocuous to me at first glance.

Blizz doesn’t seem to know what their own story is any more, and it’s well within the realm of possibility that the people who write the in-game lore have no idea what the book-people are doing, which makes the books a bit of a moot point as far as being the “Definitive lore” goes, but that’s just the way things are nowadays.

I used to be really into WoW lore, but i just adopted a more “I’m just here to kill bad guys”-mindset lately, if Blizz doesn’t really care anymore, i can’t muster the interest, either.
