What's wrong in my ST rotation? Damage breakdown provided

Hi, I have a decent ilev atm at 667 and while I consistently get a pretty strong performance on Mythic+ with my Wowhead Mythic+ AOE focused build, damagewise I tend to perform somewhat poorly in ST during raids, reaching only on average the 34th percentile in damage done. I was wondering if someone can point out what I should be doing more correctly based on my ability damage profile. I’m not wasting Holy Power 95% of the time, I keep Expurgation and Judgment up, I prioritize spenders and follow the listed ST rotation on Wowhead. I’ve heard some say Empyrean Hammer is supposed to be in the #1 spot among damage sources, but for me (at least in ST), it’s a bit lower than Final Verdict. What am I doing wrong? Since I can’t post a link to my latest damage report profile on Warcraft Logs which is on Mythic Vexie I’ll post the results here. This fight I have some away time obviously for refuelling and smashing in bikes so the uptime might be somewhat off.

I have looked up the Vexie log on warcraft logs and from what I know about the class, your Shake the Heavens uptime seems a bit low, it sits at 77% which could lead to a lot of lost damage.

The trinkets you have are somewhat mediocre, they are not the worst but there could be some room for improvement as well.

The third thing I’ve noticed is that you popped Tempered Potion right at the start, which allowed you to pop a second one towards the end of the fight, and it kinda looks like it got wasted since you did not have much else that would line up with it.

Now I am no expert on these things, but numbers strong together right? If you popped that pot during the dmg amp phase on Vexie, you could probably (as I said, I am no expert and could be wrong here) squeeze out a lot more juice out of that, instead of having two where only one of them lines up rather nicely since you pop pretty much everything at start.

So if I were you, I’d probably look into tracking the Shake the Heavens buff, and I would hold on to that potion for a bit longer, even if it means I only get to use one during the fight.

Hope this helps you in some way.

Ok great, thanks for your suggestions. Hm, Shake the Heavens seems like it has only passive significance since it’s cast automatically whenever I do Hammer of Light, which I have right at the top of my cast order after Divine Hammer and Execution Sentence. So how would I be able to extend that more? The trinkets I have are the best I could get. Thanks for pointing out the amp phase too which I guess I could have incorporated more damage into with a pot at that time, hadn’t thought of that actually.

There is a talent named Higher Calling in the hero talent tree which makes your Crusader Strike, Hammer of Wrath and Blade of Justice extend it by 1 second.

Then you get the free Hammer of Light proc, this will refresh duration as well, and holding on to that for a bit before popping may get you some more uptime out of the buff.

As I said previously, maybe looking into tracking the Shake the Heavens and perhaps even the free proc could help you, since knowing how much duration you have left on both could help you decide if it’s time to hold it or pop it.

Ah, ok, excellent, thanks a lot! I’ll look into getting both of those things done. Thanks!
