What would your dreamcast be in a Warcraft series adaptation? Some of mine would be:
Benedict Cumberbatch as Medivh with Cillian Murphy as Moroes
Henry Cavill as Varian (just in case he doesn’t end up being Arthas)
Emilia Clarke as Tyrande (Since she is pretty much Daenerys 2.0)
Tom Hardy as Thoras Trollbane
Rhea Seehorn as Aegwynn
Steve Carell as Sylvanas
I would prefer Ian McDiarmid as Sylvanas.
Unknowns for all the roles.
Better for immersion.
The only thing I could think of during the first Warcraft movie was: RAGNAR!
Which is why the scenes with only the orcs were so much better.
Well I’d say it depends on the actor. In Peaky Blinders for example I recognized both Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy at first but after a few minutes all I saw was Tommy Shelby and Alfie Solomons.
Ragnar as Lothar just didn’t work that well.
Honestly I’d just prefer a completely CGI movie, really.
If they have the bravery to pull that off then they can have my money. Absolutely.
Andy Serkis as High Tinkerer Mekkatorque (and all other male gnomes)
James McAvoy as Vol’jin
Angelina Jolie as Sylvanas would be more fitting, imo. I mean that’s exactly what I thought when I watched the BFA Cinematic. Even the Patty herself looks like Sylvanas. 
Interesting take. Personally if Steve Carell turned down the offer I guess I could also consider Eva Green
I thought it’s strange for male actors to portray a female character, as posted in some replies. I don’t know them, are they comedians maybe?
Steve Carell is the guy from “the Office” and yeah I kind of meant it as a joke 
He’d make an awesome Sylvanas. Both are terribly annoying.
