When did Maiev's hair become gery/white?

A bit of an obscure one but here goes:

Pretty sure her hair was blue/purple in WC3. Why did it turn white? Is there a reason? Or was it retconned?

Not a retcon per say. Someone probably simply thought I wold look better for some reason.
Golden confirmed that Tyrande does dye her hair. Why? I donā€™t know.
She pretty much lost everything from WC3.

In Heroes of the Storm she has purple hair, so it kinda had me confused.

Thatā€™s Tyrande in Heroes of the Storm. Way better than her old WoW model. The Night Warrior is at least somewhat closer to WC3.

With Tyrande I just assumed it was a retcon since all her post WC3 appearences use green hair.

But Maiev has purple hair in HotS, which I wondered if itā€™s canon or not and if it is why it was changed.

It was confirmed though that she does dye her hair. we donā€™t know anything else about it.

Look I know ships are yikesā€¦but you know what ship wouldā€™ve been tolerable before legion ended? Illidan-Maiev.Just so Illidan could finally stop being a Tyrande-simp before the end.That would be the true redemption arc he deserved.

Iā€™m more intrigued by the fact that there are no ear-holes on the warden helm since WC3, so how do her ears fit in?

Itā€™s a my favorite desing actually, practically and estetically.Kudos to the artist who designed it.

The helmet itself is shaped for Night elf ears.Look at the long spikes at each sides, the ears would fit in that kind of helmet without an issue, without any holes.

The spikes are positioned to the sides, rather than to the back, so they look more fitting for the eyebrows than for the ears.

The early desings were like that, in more recent artworks, the spikes bend to the backwards, that I noticed.

Dunno about the ship, but some sort of ā€œcoming to an endā€ story would be nice between the two!

Her hair has been white since Legion. You see her without armour in Ravencrest captivity and once she has her armour back you see a white ponytail sticking out. Her Legion variant is also a HotS skin.

Donā€™t forget that in the game in armor she got Blood Elf model. That is the biggest bug of the UI developersā€¦
The bug that continues to exist for more that 10 years already.
